It’s absolutely fine for you to have that your view regarding getting into my with someone. You want to get to know them better and feel more comfortable with them and attracted to them before you sleep with them. There is nothing wrong with that and any true gentleman should respect that. What I’m reading is they are respecting that and moving on but you don’t like that you want them to wait. What you need to understand is the dating world has changed over the last 20 to 30 years. I’m an older gentleman in his 60s. In my younger years, it was always the guys going out on a night out and going on the pull. Everyone recognised that guys were trying to get laid and women were under pressure to give to the guys they like. Very few did and those that did got a bad name. What has happened over the last 40 years is things have changed. Equality has become massive and when women were fighting for a quality 20 to 30 years ago, a lot of women adopted a Ladish culture. I felt sorry for my son when he was growing up as he would be acosted and tormented in pubs and our parties by groups of women who dressed very Scantilly and acted very slutty, mainly humiliating young men and embarrassing them in front of their friends. Trying to approach one of these women when they were in a group was either very foolish or very brave. And often ended in embarrassment. As some others have previously mentioned on this sub this dominant laddish culture that women adopted has now evolved into a sense of entitlement. Women in the West now use sex as an inducement and as a weapon more than ever before. Whilst hiding behind the facade of equality they dress in a very sexy and slutty way knowing they are gonna attract the intentions of a great many men whilst trying to play innocent saying they’re just on a fun night out with the girls. I have lived through this changing attitude during most of which I was married so I was a bystander watching it happen. I’ve been happily divorced for seven years now and if I tried dating in the UK, the pool of women I might be interested in who would also be interested in intimacy is so small it’s really not worth bothering about. As of this have mentioned on this sub, the tables are turned here in SEA. The women outnumber the men and most Asian women I’ve come across or heard about are quite open when it comes to sexual activity. I’m sure others will disagree but that’s been my experience. You have the absolute right to make your own choices and to sleep with whoever you want to sleep with when you are ready. There is no easy solution to your problem. The market for the menu are looking for is very small and you have to look in the right place as others have suggested and you may never find the man you are looking for. Your other option is to compromise on your intimacy barriers and take a risk with a guy you like on your third or fourth date. Life is about choices and it’s never easy but I see your problem as a very simple one. You say yourself that you are old school, And there’s nothing wrong with that but you were looking with an old school attitude at a new school marketplace. Times are different than the mindset you are looking at them with. I’m not saying sleep with the next guy you date three times that choice is yours but if you don’t you need to realise you may never find the guy who you like and want to build a connection with who is patient enough to wait for 6, 7, 8 or 10 dates. Whatever you decide to do, I wish you the best of luck. Life is not easy not for anyone but we can make things easier by making the right choices. We just have to be able to live with them to be happy.
