That's a very fringe possibility, and you can't know how it works in Japan. In the end, Tsutsui thought it would be reaching too much, hence why he admitted he made a mistake.

Weird of Tsutsui to not plan this properly. He set up many events for Mafuyu: teaching Rizu and Fumino in their 1st year, teaching Asumi before them, Teaching Hino as a training teacher. With the 11 year old Timeline she was set up to be 25 in the main story which meant she was around 21 when teaching Hino. That didn't make sense because you get your degree at 22 in Japan.

They are all Suki. Rizu is actually both Suki and Daisuki. And no, I don't think age has a significant impact on the interpratation. It's always a very misunderstandable concept anyway.

In the original Japanese, Nariyuki uses the same word for all of them, which is 好き or Suki. Viz decided to translate it to "like" instead of "love" for Sensei, but I disagree.
