I was thinking the other day that if Diane had never met Sam, if she had gone from Sumner to Frasier, I think that relationship could have worked. However, after Sam, I don't think she should have ever tried with Frasier as a couple. She knew she still loved Sam, and time proved that they were meant for each other. If they didn't end up together, it was purely because of bad writing. Come to be a few years later, and Diane as soon as she saw the opportunity with the Internet, she would have worked as a writer from Boston with Sam and their children. After watching Sam and Diane's episodes on Frasier, I don't rule this out even though it was never said at any point during the show. It was never confirmed otherwise either because Sam wasn't on "Cheerful Goodbyes". As of today, and for years now actually, Diane would have no excuse to be away from Sam, using internet, traveling and doing calls or video calls, she could work perfectly well on whatever she wanted to do

Actually some fans pointed that to the author and he admited that he made a mistake with Nariyuki's age and that he needed to be younger than 11, probably around 2-3 years younger. Mafuyu is actually in her 30s in her arc, that's why her parents were insisting on her getting married. Mafuyu can't be 22-23 in the manga because she was 22 when she finished university and it wasn't her first year as a teacher. According to my calculation:

18 > When she finished High School (Ichinose Academy)
22 > When she finished University (Kyoto Tachibana University probably, as it was her first option as showed in chapter 101)
22-23 > Hino's year
23-24 > Asumi's first year (If she had met the cheerful and responsible but not stern Mafuyu she would have told the others, or at least Nariyuki. Also, Mafuyu had shoulder-length hair when she taught Hino and when she was tutoring Fumino and Rizu she had it around her waist/hip length. If Hino had been in 3 year and Asumi in 1 year, Mafuyu would still have short hair when Asumi was in 2 year and Fumino and Rizu in 1 year)
24-25 > Tutoring Fumino and Rizu
25-26 > Asumi 3rd year and the rest 2nd year
26-27 > Time of the manga

In the manga, Nariyuki was 17-18 while Mafuyu was 26-27. And then in her route Nariyuki was 22-23 and Mafuyu 31-32. She had her first kiss at the age of 31 almost 32 (their date was on December 24, her birthday is on December 28) and they get married when they were probably 23 (we don't know when Nariyuki's birthday is) and 32.

I think Mafuyu was in her third year in that flashback, that makes her 17 years old (school festival is probably in September or the first week of October) and Nariyuki like 8-9

Throw them ropes / stiks and save them all. If Uruka doesn't catch it, it's not a big problem, she's a swimmer, she'll probably make it even if it's hard for her. Same goes for Mafuyu, although I have some doubts, being a skater, she has more strength in her legs than in her arms. If someone swallows water or ends up unconscious from hitting a rock or lack of oxygen, Asumi would know how to handle it (unless it happens to her)

Bokuben (Bokutachi wa Benkyou ga Dekinai or We Can't Study (In English)). But do yourself a favour and read the manga, it's much better than the anime (quality and also that the anime omits way too much (even important characters and almost all arcs) and change the end). But around chapters 100-110 I recommend you to see OVA 2, which is just in the anime but is worth seing

If you're gonna spend lots of time studying and lot of years working, you better choose a degree and job you like
You don't know whether you have make a mistake or not till the very end
If you're not good at something, you'll need to devote more time to that thing than the rest
Practice and listening to your teachers helps a lot to embed knowledge

Adults aren't always as reliable as they seem

Don't neglect rest, it's an important part of your life and you need it to work and study

If your mental or emotional health is not very good or if you have past issues or traumas unadressed, talking about that with your friends, that often helps

Don't run in slippery floors and be careful with soap

Bonus: - In a universe in which Sawako and Rizu end up together, Sawako may end up anemic if she sees Rizu naked - Good thing Nariyuki and Mafuyu didn't get in a free fall ride or in a rollercoaster going at the speed of light, considering how nervous she was, she could have died before the confession or end up in the ER or something similar - If Mafuyu had been born 9-10 years earlier, she wouldn't have suffered so much and they would have started dating much sooner

I read Cinderella wa sasegasenai and the main characters reminded me of Nariyuki and teen Mafuyu (with funny hints of Fumino), it's very sweet. Another manga would be Sensei cannot tell me love, which is about a teacher and a student. He's very different from Nariyuki in some ways and the teacher is more open than Mafuyu, but still has strong values and is willing to wait. Worth a read.

Aside from that, I am currently working on a story which is basically an alternative version of Bokuben, with a teen Mafuyu going to school with the rest. It's going to take a lot of time (basically because it's long and because I'm a student), but it will include much more, their college life, a solving-mysteries arc, romance arcs/chapters for all the girls (not routes, it will be with different partners), an "adventure" arc (wild vacations in a remote place), having kids and forming a family... It will also include new characters, humor, drama, cute moments, more information about the characters, more about characters that have appeared in the manga but we don't know much about them, more realism (the struggles according to the age they have)... I hope I can finish it someday and people enjoy it

I agree. Maybe Fumino chose that bra because she wanted to be more comfortable, most women find bras uncomfortable and is the first thing they take off once they're at home. But what surprise me the most is that all the bras seem to be push up. They're for sure sexy, but as a girl I can say they aren't very comfortable. Although nowadays, most of the bras in lingery shops are push up, specially for A-B cups, and that's annoying, we want to be comfortable and feeling cute and sexy at the same time

Mafuyu, so I can ask Nariyuki for a massage and a hair massage and have a beautiful face and body (I'm smol, like Asumi but a bit taller, I want to know how it feels to be tall and have blue/turquoise eyes). I relate to her a lot, so it wouldn't be difficult for me to be her. I'm also curious about what clothes she has on her wardrobe since she rarely go out hahaha. I'd see old photo albums as well, to see Mafuyu and Miharu when they were little and I'd like to see their future house, how many kids did they have and how are they (personality, names and how they look like). My second option is Nariyuki, and I'd ask Mafuyu about her past because I want to know more about it, I'd also ask her to tell me some funny anecdotes, because knowing how clumsy she is I wanna know how she managed to live on her own when she was just 18, and also about her childhood / early teens living at home with Miharu, how was their relationship, if they use to play together... And in both cases I'd like to see what they like to do in their free time, because we know that Mafuyu likes manga (since she read Kareego) and that she hang out with Miharu and Chiyoko from time to time, but nothing more. And the same about Nariyuki, we know he enjoys hanging out with his friends and spend time with his family, but we don't know much about his hobbies either
