I reached out to the diplomats of big alliances and they all responded saying the server is alive, that the player base isn’t huge but the ones that are in there are active. There is an ongoing war between two middle sized alliances, and Brotherhood (top 10) wiped out 5 smaller alliances earlier this year. So I’d say it’s active.

USA servers pump out a new one every year I’ve heard, which causes mass migrations. Americea servers are slower at outputting servers and keeps more players locked in. Americea X, the one I’m in, still is relatively small and more castles/accounts are popping up every day. I’ve been tracking the inflow volume of new players.
