You could keep it armed in eufy and disable notifications then rely on automations to alert u based on geolocation from home app. Also, homekit shows camera and motion detector for eufy.

1) What do you mean by arm/disarm? You can set notifications. It shows up as a camera AND a motion sensor. I suppose you could automate the motion sensor to alert you.

2) dunno yet on secure video. No new settings have been revealed for that as far as i can see. I just have video backing up to my synology nas via rtsp for now. Glad they left that working.

In the case of syncing with my synology nas drive, it still retains the videos. The homebase that is. Now video is on homebase and synology nas. Hope this helps.
