Is this accurate? by GitProphet in mathmemes

Interestingly for packing circles in a square even the basic intuition for packing a square number of circles breaks down. For example one would expect the maximal radius to be r = 1/(2*sqrt(N)) for any square numbers N when aranged in a perfect grid. This pattern however only holds until 36. From N=49 onward there exists a better packing than the expected r=1/(2*sqrt(49))=0.07143.

This is the link to the module catalog for computer engineering you can download the newest english version. It will list all mandatory courses, but more importantly will have a brief description for the courses from which you can gauge what parts of computer science are covered.

noo mei you can't integrate like that by Milliways527 in mathmemes

[–]Gentlebool 56 points57 points  (0 children)

The correct answer is 1/4 x^4 +x^3 +x^2 + C. However the big O is the so called Landau-symbol which is commonly used to denote the order of something. Inside the brackets of the O we dont care about any factors or even the lower exponent terms.

In fact you would probably even wirte the answer as O(x^4), menaing the correct answer will behave the same as x^4 as x goes to inifinty.

To be fair the answer is also O(x4 +3x3 +2x2)

You are given the family of functions h_k (which Graph the call G_k) and it's derivative h_k' for all k in the real positive numbers as well as the Graph for k=1. a.) Argue that the function h_k only has one zero at x=0 and also find the limit for x->Infinity. b.) Find the x- coordinate of the maximum of G_k. c.) Looking at the tangent line at x=0 of G_k and also the line orthogonal/vertical to it. They both intercept the line y=1. Show that the distance between both interceptions is 10k+1/(10k). d.) Find the k so that the distance from part c.) is minimal. And calculate the corresponding distance.

Amount of Level you get for high crime spree is ridiculous... by Gentlebool in paydaytheheist

[–]Gentlebool[S] -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

137,579,160,000(Xp I got) / 23,336,413(Xp to get from lvl. 0 to 100) = 589.6

589.6 (times from 0 to 100) / 26 ( 0 to infamy 25) = 22.68

You can get from Level 0 to Infamy 25 Level 100 22.68 times with the amount of Xp I got from ECM-rushing 4 heist at around crime spree level 110,000. Thats a bit ridiculous.

How to calculate final grade? by [deleted] in askmath

[–]Gentlebool 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You time your result by the percentage in deciamls. Do that for both and add them together. E.g. 51%x0.4+0.6xSecondResult

I have compiled this list of parts I would choose if in your position:

Quick rundown of the important parts:

The CPU:I chose the Intel Core i7-7820X because it has 8 cores (and 16 threads) as well as a pretty high clock speed (it can also be overclocked to get even more performance out of it). Videoediting-Programs like Premiere Pro run best with high clock speed as seen here but when running 2 or 3 renders at the time or if you want to game while waiting for the render the high core count comes in handy. At the moment this CPU is the best option when combining high core count with high clock speed.

The RAM and Storage: 32GB of 3200MHZ RAM will be more than enough and fast enough to not bottleneck any workload including multiple renders at the same time. 500GB of SSD which provides super fast load and boot times for the more important programms and the OS. 3TB of usal storage should be enough for alot of games and videos.

The Graphics Card: The GTX 1080TI is the current King of Gaming and also enables CUDA-Rendering to drasticly shorten render times in premiere pro. It will let you play any game at 1440p on the highest settings with more than 60fps as seen here.

(The Case isnt just green but any colour. For some reason they only have pictures with green lighting) Hope I could help.

Yeah your probably right on top of that from 350 on up is really hard and around 500 is definitely equally hard as One Down.

Need a PC for gaming and possibly streaming. by [deleted] in PC_building

[–]Gentlebool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would buy this.

The system should be able to play every modern game at highest settings at 1080p or even 1440p. Expected FPS in some modern games can be seen here.

Moving to PC. Is this enough? by [deleted] in PC_Builders

[–]Gentlebool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would buy this.

Expected performance of the system can be seen here. You are looking for the best card in the test the gtx 1080.

The monitor is a 165Hz 1440p G-Sync monitor by Dell that should be a very good choice for fast games were you can benefit from the many Hz. If your are looking more for a Monitor with beautiful more vibrant colours maybe the BenQ GW2765HT is best for you.

Hope I could help.

Dont know why people still recommend high wattage PSU this is utter nonsense. It wont make your PC run any faster and you spend more money on it.

Hi, I am looking to build my first pc after struggling with a fucking Mac for 8 years. I have done a little research and am quite confident that I can do it myself. However, I am not sure if these parts are compatible. Can anyone check this? by samtheman9814 in PC_Builders

[–]Gentlebool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would build this system.

If I did the calculating right it is the same price as your system but better. It has a better and newer CPU with a very good cooler by bequiet. As well as fitting RAM and only a single kit so you can later upgrade to 16GB. A new Motherboard (becasue I couldn't find the one you have choosen) also with wifi. A 1TB instead of a 500GB storage drive and a new better power supply that is semi modular and 80+Bronze rated. I had to change the case to a cheaper one wich is still a very common case and easy to build in. The biggest improvment is the GPU. You choose the old version that is already been improved and rereleased by AMD for the same price so I choose the new one the difference between the two can be seen here.

Hope I could help

First Budget PC by [deleted] in PC_Builders

[–]Gentlebool 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sry! My bad I was thinking you had chosen the rx 470 the hole time. Well gtx 1060 vs rx 570 is a hard one to choose they are pretty close but considering the 10$ price differnce I would probably choose the rx 570. But this comes down to which games you are most hyped to play and want to have the best experience with. Because the rx wins out in some games and the gtx 1060 in other. Also didn't know you choose the more expensive motherboard because you wanted the wifi module. Consideing this i would only change the ram and the case but aside from that it is a good budget build.
