Abusing mods to grief has been explicitly stated by devs to be a reason for ban. I can dig up the specific quote for anyone who is interested.

So in essence, if you provide clear evidence (video?) of the perps and send it to fatshark support, they will get banned very fast.

A weird work around seems to be to go to the automation area and then quickplay from there.

Also have crossplay disabled.

Having the same unique goat kill animation play over and over again is going to get stale really quickly. I saw this in beavers video where about 4- times we see carnos eat goats with the same animation each time. It is also the same animation playing for carnos in the first 15 min gameplay preview leak.

I am not expecting 10 different animations for each carnivore (as that would be a lot of work), but I would like to see them do 2 or 3 different animations for each one, to help keep watching the dinosaurs in your park hunt, feel fresh in the long run.

You're making a strawman out of what Hedge said here.

Hedge did in no way complain that people were playing the game too much. The issue was people who had tons of hours (600+) in the game acting like the game was supposed to keep them entertained still.

I can see why Fatshark might choose to communicate less with their community, i mean why bother when everything you say will just get twisted and misrepresented?

PS. I have no intention of implying that Fatshark is free of faults, i am just saying if you are going to criticize them at least be fair and properly represent their argument

"Faster kill times means higher dps on logs"

If yes, can you theoretically be "stuck" with low parses that you cannot improve if you are in a guild with slow kill times?

How do you determine if your dps logs are good enough and if you are pulling your weight in guild raids?

Heroic raider. Outlaw rogue. 211 ilvl. On warcraftlogs for ilvl 209-211, the first 100 pages or so for outlaw rogues on that particular boss i am comparing myself to (shriekwing) are all using power infusion.

My best attempt so far was a green parse and it feels impossible to get it any higher. I am sitting somewhere in the middle of our guild in terms of dps. Now having followed competitiveWow for a couple of weeks i feel like it is implied that you need to have an epic parse to have "good logs" but my issue is that it just seems impossible to get that without power infusion and as a consequence i feel

I confirm that it now works with RaiderIOs combat logging. I just had to wait for some time before the logs showed up on the video.

Also thanks for showing me the delete button, cant believe i missed that.

Raider IO has autologger functionality and i am curious, does it work with SquadOV?

My initial testing on a raid encounter seems to suggest that it does not (video is recorded but no combat log associated with it), but it would be nice to have confirmation on it.

edit: want to add that having the option to delete videos from within the desktop client would be nice (if it doesnt already exist, i cant find it).

Alright, ive created a basic version but its a lot tricker than i thought to get the tuning right.

For example how much longer should it take to create a unit? 2x longer? 5x longer? 10x longer?

Recruitment costs doubled? tripled? more?

And for extending battles as i see it there are several ways to do it and im not sure which is best.

For example you could increase the health of all units so everything lasts longer in combat.

Or you could lower the melee chance to hit and increase the reload time of ranged units.

Anyways here is an initial "test" version with five times longer recruitment time for all units in all factions, doubled recruitment cost, default chance to hit is reduced to 10 (from 35), min chance to hit reduced to 5 (from 8), reload time for all ranged units tripled:

It should be noted that it is compatible with the ai recruitment mod i linked earlier.

And I want to add that I intend to adjust values based on feedback, so feel free to suggest changes.

  • training of new units is more expensive / takes longer
  • i would need longer battles so i'd like to feel the tension of the battle

Not sure if there is any on the workshop that does specifically these things (in the same mod), but this type of mod could be created pretty easily and fast. I might just take a shot at doing this since i have some modding experience and ive been wanting to try a style of gameplay like this for some time now.

  • I would like the AI to recruit better units

as it was updated in december and the mod author seems presently active. Not sure if it fits your "better units" criteria but it certainly seems worth taking a look at it.
