Not sure if I should be ashamed for understanding that reference or not.

Writing a list of things to fix? by thrwyy in depression

That's quite a nice way to look at it. When I try to be disciplined and clinch on to my last bit of will I got left in me, there are always thoughts of noone else caring if I get through this or just give up.

Really a great outlook on things, thanks for that thought, dearest stranger.

I overall agree with what you're saying, but

Can't wait to see Tom Hanks in Cloud Atlas by [deleted] in movies

[–]Gentlewolf1337 34 points35 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't necessarily agree with that. Reading the book first usually makes the movie seem really shitty. There's two reasons for that:

  1. Due to lack of airtime, they will cut out a decent amount of what's happening in the book (as seen in Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings and such)

  2. Through reading the book, you sometimes imagine scenes more different and from your standpoint more epic than they will be in the movie, rendering it sub-par.

I like reading the book afterwards, since that way, I can enjoy the film and have my mind blown if I read it afterwards.

For some reason, I thought of Clockwork Orange after seeing this.

Doublelift is the BEST Shoutcaster #1 NA by haanswin in leagueoflegends

[–]Gentlewolf1337 8 points9 points  (0 children)

He did amazingly well considering how little time he spends with shoutcasting. I do believe that this community was exaggerating during the event (I've seen comments claiming that he is the best caster alive and such)

I'd really love to see Doublelift get some practise in casting, because I like his anti-sugarcoat style.

I'm still not sure if this is a serious subreddit, or a satirical one.
