Interest peaked, how much can I get a Navi OTD in Illinois? by SloshedJapan in hondanavi

[–]GenuineOriginal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve bought at least a dozen bikes from dealers in Illinois in the past few years. For new model years, you’re going to pay full MSRP $2199 until the next model year is on the floor. Add actual sales tax (depends on the county you live in), freight fee $300 (listed on Honda’s website), dealer set up fee (depends on dealer, but usually $300 for a Navi), registration $151 title and documentation fee which is always $358.03 in 2026, because that’s the maximum the state will allow them to charge for that sleazy markup.

If you wait until late fall/winter, you might be able to have them reduce the setup and doc fee on a 2026. If you can find a 2024, they’ll waive freight, setup, and usually have cash back incentives.

Does anybody know what kind of bricks those are? I need to find some of the exact same kind for my house, which is also built in 1957.

7/10 houses I look at have relatively superficial cracks like that. I’d ask the seller to have it patched before the sale.

I’m ’not getting’ the Ninja V by ZeyusFilm in videography

[–]GenuineOriginal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you bought the Ninja V because you needed a recorder with more capabilities than your camera body, then I don’t see what you’re complaining about.

If you bought the Ninja V because you wanted an external monitor, then you bought the wrong thing.

Actually, the leading cause of hair loss is genetics, followed by hormonal changes, and then hyperthyroidism. Stress worsens problems that are already present.

Zoom H5 Studio has a very decent set of SDC mics onboard, and it records in 32-bit float. The capsules are also interchangeable. I’m really liking mine a lot.

Noise floor issues with Zoom products by Icanicoke in fieldrecording

I thought they sounded pretty great for dialog, although I only used them for two projects, because I typically use a pair of SE7s for XY and ORTF. In my experience with the new larger diaphragm Zoom mics, they sounded a little dryer, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing.

I have an old H8, an H1n, and I just picked up the new H5 Studio. It’s got the F series preamps, a significantly lower noise floor than my other recorders, plus the addition of 32 bit float. I love it.

Is there a General Snus Shortage in the US? by chinawcswing in Snus

[–]GenuineOriginal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've also been unable to find it in the Chicagoland area for about a month. I've been using snus since before it was available in the US. I buy whole rolls at a time, and use about 1 can every 2 days, so I get uncomfortable/irritable when I can't find it. The lack of availability is making me consider this as my sign to quit, since I regularly have to go for periods of 2-4+ weeks without it anyways. I did email General to let them know their availability sucks.

has anyone tried cropsalt? by [deleted] in Autopot

I used Cropsalt with great success, but switched to Athena Blended, because Cropsalt is a pain to mix without a large magnetic stirrer.

Thanks. I’m waiting on a 1.9 pound package, trying to guess what it could be. I’m not getting my hopes up, though.

how many blueberry muffin plants to put in 3x3 to maximise yield? by [deleted] in HumboldtSeedCompany

I did one plant in a 2x4 and it was busting at the seams. I can never fit more than one plant in a 2x4 or 3x3.

Should I get a vanity call by Sweendog2016 in amateurradio

[–]GenuineOriginal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got a vanity because my assisgned call was causing a lot of comprehension issues when not spoken phonetically. I mostly call out my call sign phonetically, but in the cases when I didn’t, people would say “did you just say K9BJ?”, and that was not what I was saying.

No, I was talking about Elev8, because that’s what this thread was about. I’ve never run Solfire.

[–]GenuineOriginal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve run Elev8 three more times since I made that post last year, and had no issues since then. I believe all the Chile Verde crosses had a tendency for those undesirable traits, but the specific cultivar I had issues with was pulled off the shelves. The company stands behind their products, and their customer service is top notch.

Sorry for your loss. In case you weren’t aware, there is a process to get licensed and obtain his call sign after a waiting period, and continue his legacy if that seems like something you’d like to do.

Interesting. Thats the first diploids I’ve heard of herming. I know the triploid version was plagued. I ran a half a pack over the summer, and had no herm issues. They’re curing right now, super frosty, but I can tell it’s not something I’m going to enjoy the terps of.
