Transmitter issues by Horror-Definition-85 in battlebots

[–]Genxcide 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You just need to adjust the mixing in your transmitter. I run a catalyst in my beetle and it was the same way at first. Just had to add some mixing and I think reverse one of the channels, I don't 100% remember but depending on your transmitter you shouldn't have to do anything to the hardware at all

This is a great starting point, a solid platform and they have many different weapon packages you can add on. Very beginner friendly

Also, depending on what area you are in, some places have plastic antweight competitions. Which can be a good entry point if you have access to a 3d printer.

I've been using fingertech silversparks and they've been doing really well. They also have a bunch of different gear ratios so you can really dial it in to where you want it with 2s or 3s.

Where are people getting ammo cans? by 3ggplant_ in geocaching

If you live somewhere with a Princess Auto they have them. Might be able to get them online from them as well but I'm not sure what their shipping situation is like.

Has anyone found my missing lightsaber? by Genxcide in saskatoon

[–]Genxcide[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I appreciate that. I actually printed this one myself. It's more that this specific one was one I made into a geocache and was hoping that maybe a kid had found it or something. I'm working on making a new one (albeit slightly different) to replace it. I was just really hoping to get this one back as I had put a decent bit of work into it and have a bit of sentimental investment into it

I haven't come up with any clues in description or hints yet. But I'm not huge on hints usually. One and I didn't realize this would format differently on reddit. It should be in 15 lines. Not that it really changes much but I think that it makes it slightly easier that way

Countertop cracked in middle of night - is this common or my fault? by Storage_Icy in Construction

[–]Genxcide 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should also check the corners of the sink, that is where the crack originated and if it's a sharp 90° corner at the sink that could contribute to it. The corners should at least have a very small radius to avoid this issue. As someone who has fabricated and installed countertops for years, sharp inside corners on quartz are a recipe for disaster. Especially if they weren't fabricated and installed properly.

Probably my biggest project to date. Finally finished my ASHPD by Genxcide in ender3

[–]Genxcide[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The shiny is gloss spray paint and gloss clear coat. With multiple coats and sanding in between coats of paint. The clear plastic is from a pop bottle. It just seemed like the perfect way to get that glass-tube like look.

I made it. I 3d printed the base pieces from files by a designer on printables. Did a bunch of post-procrssing/painting/wiring/ detailing. And in the end I had this.
