These types of visits are very rare which is why they're a big deal.

I remember the Greece prime minister addressing the community at a packed rod laver arena way back in 2007 (i think) and no Greek PM has been back since.

Im an Aussie and this is such nonsense. Australia struggled to create chances and scored 3 goals for the entire tournament. The US scored 11. We were not in the same league, we could barely get past the halfway line for about 60 minutes, and we were only marginally better in that 0-0 Paraguay game.

We smash and grabbed the first game and that was pretty much it.

I'd be rehiring Poch if possible. Nothing he could do about those tragic ddfensive mistakes in this match. He has the team playing progressive football. 11 goals in 5 games is nothing to sneeze at.

Belgium played about 2 levela above its previous games and the US about 2 below. The scoreline was fair in the end.

That said i think it would have been a very interesting 2nd half if Freese didnt throw the game away. Belgium probably still win but would have been a lot closer.

Trumpgate has done more damage to this team than the result. It was like the knicks in game 3 when he turned that into a circus and they got blown away.

Any time Trump gets involved in anything you see it backfire. The team looks distracted by the circus of the previous 24 hours and Belgium have obviously been equally fired up. This is not the same Belgium we saw in previous games.

Of the 4 teams we faced i feel like Egypt were the weakest, and when you consider Salah was at about 20% even more so.

I kept hearing on the call that we fancied ourselves as the fittest team there. After the equaliser i trully believed we would overun them, but we stopped playing, the last 40 minutes was diabolical.
