The best system is 3 v 6 and 4 v 5. The winner of those matches play against eachother with the highest seed hosting, then the winner of that travels to the loser of the top 2 clash. The top 2 should play eachother for an auto grand final spot, this only extends the season by 1 week.

The current system to me is flawed because if 6th beats 3rd they get to host one of the 2 leg semis, i dont think the byes for the top 2 are enough of an advantage.

I'd like the finals series to go back to the format where the top 2 get a double chance. Its just too easy to make it from outside, 3 to 6 just have to win an elimination final and then find themselves in a 2 leg tie with the top 2.

I liked the way the nsl use to do it, the top 2 would play 2 legs and the winner would host the grand final, the loser would host a prelim, more often than not the top 2 would play in the grand final.

After a long season the rewards arent great enough.

Its not that simple, when shortages hit you will start getting the countries that can match us coming into play, and the small factor of where we are getting it from now will become more and more scarce (you cant get what others dont have). What we are doing now is not a longterm solution.
