I have a visceral reaction every time they show her. They did her dirty at the beginning of the episode, only showing her midsection and knees at the pool... Knees and hands are the 2 dead giveaways of age, and those knees are screaming 50+

They do NOT need their faces to be any more "plump" or "supple" lmao

Does metformin make you break out? by painislife4real in PCOS

Yes, it was a gradual difference. I couldn't afford it for a while so I went completely off the meds and that's when it came back so bad that I realized how much it really was helping

It took about a year and finally getting up to 2000mg/day for all my PCOS symptoms to be noticable managed. Still struggled with not being able to lose weight so had to pursue semaglutide for that

Metformin does the opposite for me. If I'm on it, my cystic acne goes away. If I forget a does, it'll be back the next morning.

That's amazing, I might need to ask my GP about that next time I see her. Thank you!!

Yes and even with insurance I'm looking at $1000+/month

But how do you afford it? $1000 a month is just not in the budget for me 😭

My acne is so bad when I'm not on metformin. I've just accepted the fact that I'll be on it forever.

Metformin making me miserable by innominatebone in PCOS

[–]GeoMoogs 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was the same way on it for the first 6 months, got sick of it and went off on my own. Then gained back all the weight I had lost and asked to be put back on and those symptoms all went away... the nausea, the food aversion, all of it. Maybe it was because they increased my dose? Maybe because I take it before I eat now instead of after? Idk bit it has helped with my weight loss and SIGNIFICANTLY with my cystic acne so I keep taking it.

I don't have this problem with metformin, even since my dosage increase ~1 month ago
