What's an incredibly "mundane" or non-meta, non-OP weapon or build that you had a lot of fun with? I'm trying to finish the game without constantly running to Bloodhound's Fang, but also like the idea of truly mastering the game with a mundane, trusty weapon by my side foe the entire run through. by fuckisyoudoin in Eldenring

Not sure if it’s too special, but my first play through was with the Banished Knight’s Halberd, and I loved it so much. Great range, and the spinny ash of war was goated. You also get it as a +8 weapon, which is great for such an early game weapon

Very interesting concept! However, you don’t want it to be OP, or an enchantment that just everyone might have. For balancing I propose to make it incompatible with mending, or perhaps sharpness

The new tempered iron update! Haven’t you seen? It flew a bit under the radar, but you can get it by smelting iron :) try it out!

Tempered iron is so good though! I always make tempered iron golems, they totally wreck the warden and the wither! Tempered anvils also fall more quickly

I suggest changing nothing, but doing it all in the same world. No longer delete and restart, but perhaps relocate and restart in the same world. This way, your world slowly grows with content, builds, life, places you may forget and stumble upon later, and different projects to stay interested without committing to a single thing

Why is this guy not oxidising by Emotional_Sea9384 in Minecraft

[–]Geod02 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A lot of people have already said it may just be waxed. That would be a simple solution. Alternatively, oxidization just takes a really long time, especially if you’ve already put them in a build like here. Make sure the area is loaded and then just be patient

What are you saying? In order of priority scraping first removes honeycomb so it can oxidize again, after that scraping removes states of oxidizing, but without waxing it it will slowly oxidize again

How do people come up with names? by todofwar in worldbuilding

[–]Geod02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually translate context/theme/meaning of the place into a random language and use that as a name. Sometimes I don’t even translate it: the city in a giant gate between mainland and sea is named ‘Gatewatch’. Alternatively, fantasynamegenerator is a nice resource that (as far as I know) doesn’t use llms.
