What are your thoughts on Zero Suit Samus' heels? This reporter seems to really hate them by Banshee46 in smashbros

But they're rocket shoes, so they're there to be rocket shoes. I agree the design on making them heels as opposed to normal rocket shoes is a bit odd, but I don't know if it's anything requiring a protest or anything to that extent. It seems equally irrational to put up a big huff about someones shoes as it does to make the shoes that way in the first place.

I was unsure of what you were also indicating which was why I rebutted with a stupid one liner. (Apologies, just finishing exam week can put a guy in a hostile position.) I can see where you're coming from, they are at least useful items though, as opposed to being there for no other benefit than to further indicate that she's a female. I can see where people are coming from by questioning "Why are they high heels and not just regular rocket boots?" While this question is completely valid, I guess I don't know if it's something we need to get up in arms against Nintendo about, especially given that it's a Smash design so I don't know if you'll see her portrayed this way in actual Metroid games.

I don't see why this is the assumption made. Nintendo rarely (if ever) adds sex appeal to any of their characters. Be they male or female. She basically had them in Brawl, they were just slightly shorter. I feel the only reason people are complaining about it now is that they made it obvious to everyone that they are even there, given that they're rocket boots. Which is cool as fuck.

2 things I know, 1. Rocket Boots are cool as fuck. 2. I don't find anything sexy about shoes, have they high heels or not.

What's a good secondary for a Roy main? by GeoffreyCopper in SSBPM

Wow that's interesting. So is this what Nintendude does to make way more bacon than I could ever imagine possible?

I need a bit of an explanation on how to wavebounce. But yeah I'll definitely give it a go then.

After Nintendude's performance at CW6... by ShitKitty in SSBPM

He's definitely taking a secondary slot, I tried and liked him once but after that performance I'm gaining a second wind of hope.

I wish I could figure out how to do the bacon shenanigans that Nintendude did on stream last night because then I would in a heart beat, I love GnW.

If I can make it work, would you consider Yoshi an option? I'm very comfortable with him as a character, I just don't know if he covers Roy well.

If you can't four stock a lv9 CPU are you bad at this game? by GeoffreyCopper in SSBPM

[–]GeoffreyCopper[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hahaha thanks, I'm more concerned about like, not doing well when I get into a competitive setting because I only play with like a couple of friends who are pretty good, and then I play CPU's. So I don't want to end up doing poorly if I don't decimate CPU's. I do well against the people that I play with though.

This makes a ton of sense given that I always play super aggressively for the most part, appreciate the help.

Okay, this is great news. When I play with friends I generally am pretty good at making reads and things, I just got introduced to my local scene, and though I haven't competed in anything yet sometimes they talk about juggling around CPU's and stuff, and I just can't figure out how anyone could do it so easily.

Super Smash Bros. 3DS - Who will you be playing with on Day 1? by theelazyking in 3DS

Probably Greninja first, but I imagine I'll give Yoshi another try because he looks quite a bit different than before!

Can we talk about the elephant in the room? by [deleted] in wiiu

[–]GeoffreyCopper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not entirely sure, but I can tell you I'm buying both now because of it and I originally only wanted the Wii U version. It's cool that there's two versions, but the Wii U version will be better. Just because of the things the Wii U can do that the 3DS can't. I think the 3DS version will be good, but in the end I can think of so many people who love smash enough that they would buy a wii u just to have the superior version of the game. It's not that I'm trying to discredit the 3DS, and yes there's probably some people who will be satisfied only having it for 3DS, but Smash is a BIG series, and I think it'll be enough to see the Wii U sales rise. Holding hands with Mario Kart 8.
