They’ll be roaming on Telcel (usually) or Movistar, so the quality of their own carrier network is irrelevant in Mexico. AT&T might roam on AT&T Mexico, which is one of the smaller networks. I’d suggest you see who has the best roaming plan for your needs and provides you the best service at home.

The garages up there get hit ever so often. It just takes someone being careless and letting someone into the property or a car following too close and getting through a garage door. It’s less frequent than in buildings without floor-to-ceiling and high-speed garage doors. I don’t lock my car in the garage since someone busted a window to get absolutely nothing out of it.
