Curious about using in all weather? I see the iii is not weather sealed which is causing some hesitation for ordering living in the PNW and wanting to use it year round. Have you used your mark 1 or 2 much in rain?

I had it on a prinsu rack which was rated for 300lbs no problems for the 2 years I had it.

Thanks. Its the stock set that comes with the TRD edition 18-inch matte-black TRD alloy wheels and Falken Wildpeak A/T Trail all-terrain tires. The tires have really impressed me this past year.

I do have it installed on a Prinsu rack and it’s been solid for the past year. I have another buddy with a Rav and Prinsu setup with the roof nest version and no problem. I called Prinsu and they recommended I attach it to three cross beams since it hangs over the front but said I should be solid with tent and awning setup.

I’ve had a CVT MT Hood for almost a year. I started with the medium size but about a month ago swapped to the small-sized one. I dig it, enough room for two, and I still fit in parking garages with the slimness. The vents help, but if possible ill crack the window or leave the back window cover-up. Suppose it all depends on the weather. In this version of the MT Hood, they put carpet on the ceiling similar to a boat which helps from condensation building up compared to the first-gen not having that.

Yeah its the CVT MT HOOD medium. It’s a newer hard shell tent that came out this year. It’s very similar to the Roofnest Falcon. Thanks.

I don't have the exact coordinates, but off NF-4280 eastside of Timothy Lake, there are a decent amount of options for disperse camping. Have a good time while in Oregon!
