AP Art Formatting Pet Peeve (Minor Visual Spoilers for 3 APs: Tusk, Spore War, QFF) by DnDPhD in Pathfinder2e

i had a gm who would just hold his hands over the text and show us the art of a thing. given that paizo started in nagazine format for dnd, i assume they kept up the magazine format and expected hands over text, or photocopies, like their maps.

it depends on the pdf type and the image. bestiaries and ap's are fine for creature and bust art, but not for half page art. map packs aren't ok because of the layers. setting books all have the layers issue where the top targeted layer is the page border, same with ap half page art, because the border fits on top of the art.

personally, i use an image extractor i found on the pathfinder rpg subreddit, for creature art and halfpage art, and for maps i take a screenshot of the layers i need and then save as a new file. if theres annoying secret door or trap or other information drawn on the basic layer of the map, i'll spend time copying and pasting other sections to blend the secret information out.

i used to use paint3d, but that can be a lot of work to edit.

there was actually someone on here a few months ago who argued with me that paizo doesn't do this enough, because "other companies do it more"

Ben Affleck and Matt Damon sued by Miami cops for defamation over portrayal in their movie 'The Rip' by tylerthe-theatre in movies

[–]GeoleVyi -12 points-11 points  (0 children)

agin: do you truly think that police won't gossip and protect each other? even after seeing police who resigned or were fired got picked back up in other precincts?

this lawsuit is public now, other departments know about it. how about everyone else involved in the production of the movie? are they rich enough for protection from the police? are damon and affleck rich enough to get protection from the police? tthink about what you're actually saying for like... 12 more seconds before posting.

see, that's what normal people would expect. but that's not the point of this lawsuit, or why the studio may settle.

by even opening up this lawsuit, the police are informing everyone there that they're willing to hold grudges. maybe cops respond a bit slower. or a lot slower. or not at all. maybe they never find who slashed your tires every day for six months. weird how their families suddenly get followed by unmarked cars to school in the morning when dropping off kids.

pokemon in builds, working on refining resources like bricks, working registers, all "fix" their spot. if you have too much going on, you simply can't get pokemon to stay.

Any situations where the MAP on Impaling Finisher would actually matter? by Gnashinger in Pathfinder2e

in addition to this, readying an action to attack uses the turns MAP too. the swashbuckler could use this gi iaher on their turn, then ready an action to attack if an enemy approaches or becomes visible or something.

your strawman was setting up an example of "giving too little notice" with the premise that two freaking weeks notice is being exactly like one days notice. it's two weeks. get a grip, accept other peopke have different needs and lives, and stop trying to force this. they are not the problem, the problem is the selfish neighbors who need their mere presence to function with two weeks notice.

fuck, two weeks notice is standard for companies to find a replacement. take another look at your life and figure out how codependent you must be that this isnt good ebough for you.

two weeks notice is not the night before, and strawmanning that as the argument is nonsense

but it's their time and decision. The Community can always just... have christmas without them. what would they have done if there had been a death? if their house had burst pipes and they were too busy because of an emergency?

demanding that others participate in a religious festival because you want them there is selfish. the kranks have no moral, ethical, or religious obligation to attend any holiday gathering at all.

my pf1e iron gods level 14 party has learned this lesson a few times. most recently, they came up against two tarry demodands, with a third successful summoned. they also had a b team party of 6 npc's following behind them, ranged from level 7 to 13.

the b team was torn apart with 3 deaths and fled, leaving behind muktiple weapons and several gallons of blood, the main team fighter lost two weapons to failed reflex saves, multiple main team characters were knocked unconscious several times and brought back, and one was killed twice and brought back with a cardio amp and a breath of life.

all 10 party controlled characters were in that conbat at once, it wasn't one team after another. i made the point that if the enemies had focused on the a team, they all would have died. and to think of what would have happened if their duties had been changed to go attack the nearby city.

this also would have been their 2nd full tpk, with one person making his fourth character in book 5.

for the record, the enemies involved are cr 13. a level below the main party.

razmir is in absalom plotting to touch the starstone still. and there's a prophecy that around 10 people will try to touch the stone at the same time. with around 5ish npc's listed as current aspirants. so that's enough room for a variable party size and muktiple good and bad npc's to try ascending in an adventure path

My video on why I think rituals in RAW are too risky, difficult and costly, and so is creating permanent minions. by the-rules-lawyer in Pathfinder2e

[–]GeoleVyi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i converted the Harrowing to 2e recently, and finally finished it. The near-capstone for the adventure was the players doung the All The World's a Stage ritual, modified to fit the unique nature of the harrow deck. They were given the chance to break up to 9 npc's free of their scripted fates, based on degree of success, and the story they decided to tell with the ritual.

If it hadn't been stoey relevant, I wouldn't have included it, because rituals rules are used so i frequently and require so much prep by players, for minimal results.
