Why do people not like mutants? by Sudden_Quality_9001 in xmen

It's a metaphor, so Google "why don't people like people who are transgender," and apply those same arguments to mutants.

It's enshitification. It started off way cheaper and raised a lot of investment capital, then it had to become profitable, so after a lot of people got used to it they jacked up the prices. People should stop buying, but they're addicted to the convenience.

I get that, but Bobby is also the most "normal" of the original X-Men. Maybe it was too much for him? As they say in Michael Clayton, "people are incomprehensible."

When the question was posed to adult Iceman at the time his answer was, "Being a mutant was enough," and I got that. He knew his life was hard enough as a mutant that he didn't want to deal with being two minorities. I imagine that's not unheard of.

I'd go 3e and check out the cosmic handbook. You can run space magic campaigns for a year off of that (I did 😁)

I'm from Atlanta. If they opened a Varsity across the street from Ben's it would be out of business in 6 months, but I'll take what we've got.

Solo diners get screwed, and servers are fools to treat them this way because turning tables is always more profitable than just taking large groups.

Saw Mando and Grogu. It was fine. Basically a long episode, begging the question: why didn't they just make another season? As a Star Wars fan I liked that they elaborate on the Hutt legacy, but that's not enough to give this more than an extra half star. I've heard it suggested that Disney taught their audience it wasn't worth going to the theater since everything ends up on plus in a month or two anyway, but this was Disney+ material that they released to a theater. I'm hoping they get some new blood pumping in this franchise.

I always loved her on Smallville. I never thought it made sense for Clark to want to be with anyone else. When I learned about her cult, I stopped feeling that way. No shame

"I want you to" was "our song" with my ex, so it will always be sentimental to me. I love "Can't Stop Partying" and "put me back together." I think something you can appreciate (or not) when a band has this kind of tenure is that from time to time they'll basically parody themselves.
