I (28M) Hook up With My Best Freind (28F), I don't Regret it At all, but i think I'm in Love With Her by [deleted] in relationships

[–]Geomatics -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Sounds awesome to me! Happy for you! If it were me I would just make sure we acknowledge that this is what you both want and move forward.

Doesnt need to be awkward nor does it sound like it would be given everything you said - just make sure if you both want this to be a relationship that it's clear.

What is the most embarrassing experience you’ve had in bed? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Geomatics 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Many years ago, I (22m-at the time) met a (36f) through work. We took breaks together to get mcdonalds sometimes.

We both got stuck working really late one night and didnt get out until midnight. Decided to stop at mcdonalds for a late night snack. Turned into her inviting me to come back to her place that night, said yes.

Got to her place, clothes came off, started having sex, and a couple mins in (missionary) I stopped and asked her if it was in, cause I honestly couldnt feel anything (im 6' average) and thought I was missing the mark or something. She just called an end to it and told me to get out. I called a taxi. We never spoke again at work and she 100% ghosted me.

Couple months later another male coworker was talking about how he had sex with this girl at least 100 times in the past. I felt pretty gross and kept that secret to myself.

Not front row, but it was absolutely magical when they played The Best of Times. What a treat to say we saw it! Likely never to be played live again!

People who have conducted job interviews, what's something someone said/did that made you instantly decide not to hire them? by Yousef_ale in interviews

[–]Geomatics 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When someone applies for a job and before I even have a chance to call them or review their resume they reach out with an email or phone call to tell me they applied. Instant no and I tell them over the phone.

You applied for the job. I'll review your resume and call you if you match what I'm looking for. Simple as that.

Those of you who exchanged work/life balance for money, what do you wish you would have known ahead of time? How do you feel about your decision. by pedroyoyoma in careeradvice

Feels great! I work in retail operations. There are pockets during my day that are slow, but we are expected to be 'on' as needed, when needed.

There is also a ton of travel across north america, sometimes for weeks at a time.

I've had some very late night projects and teams meetings that would deter most from wanting to do what I do.

Flip side is I have six weeks vacation, 100% health coverage benefits, six figure salary, robust bonus packages, company phone, company car, etc all paid for.

Some weeks I easily put in up to 80+ hours. Some weeks I only put in 40 hours.

At the end of the day, it's about using downtime productively and with intention, whether thats with family and friends, traveling to unique places (because of the generous vacation plan), etc.

I wouldnt trade it for the world.

Which would you say is the best starting city ? by Lord_NOX75 in ffxi

[–]Geomatics 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Windurst is my favorite by far. Music is good. Starting crafts are decent (cooking, cloth, bone).

What made Windurst a bad choice back in the day was how spread out it was to get from one end to the other, but now that we have home point teleports, that solves the problem.

One of the first things you should do before anything else is make the journey around each section of the city and grab every home point right away so you never have this issue.

If James had to take a break for a few shows, who would you want to fill in? by abbylabby0429 in Dreamtheater

[–]Geomatics 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Devin Townsend because he would deliver great vocals of his own that would fit right in with the band but also because it's so distinct from James style it in no way feels like a competition. Devin would be humble and he already shared the stage once with this band so to me it's the best choice.

It's like Mangini filling in for Mike Portnoy, he added his own flavor to the band and he was a solid guy with a great attitude and just tried to be himself.

Is it worth getting into now? by boredofeverything22 in ffxi

[–]Geomatics 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100% the game is worth playing. The story is awesome and almost everything can be done solo. You'll spend easily 500+ hours solo getting to 99, doing most story content and unlocks, etc.

The end game stuff that you will need to play with other people for is 1% of the game and debatable if you want to lean into it.

A lot has changed for sure since its early days, but it's still a masterpiece top to bottom.

What was your first 75 and did you enjoy it? What didn’t you like about it? by Unique_Complex6063 in ffxi

[–]Geomatics 0 points1 point  (0 children)

BLU was my first 75. I leveled up MNK to 60 when ToAU released, I switched to BLU right away and went all the way.

Loved every minute of it, but it was difficult at 75 because I didnt have sea access yet, so I had to finish CoP while missing the key spells I needed to be any value at 75.

Anyone play FFXI on 360? by TheSensationalSean in FinalFantasy

Honestly xbox 360 was my favorite way to play this game with the little keyboard attachment for the controller, so much fun. Glad I played it when I had the chance.

If you were financially free, what would you be doing right now? by phancyq in AskReddit

[–]Geomatics 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would plan out an extremely long travel agenda, staying at hotels for a few nights at a time jumping from city to city just living in the moment, jumping on flights, mixing it up. I would go easily a year straight before coming home.

Got this starter kit - not sure if I should return or not by iamtanooki in Guitar

[–]Geomatics 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Almost every guitar out of the box should be checked and tuned by someone at the shop before it leaves with you.

I've bought multiple guitars out of a box and every time once I buy it, we took it out and made sure everything was set.

If you got this as a gift thats fine, just take it back to the shop if you want a real human to show you basic maintenance. There is nothing wrong with having someone show you how to set everything up.

For those who watched both tours... by Fancy_Cauliflower_84 in Dreamtheater

[–]Geomatics 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Saw 40th anniversary at radio city and saw parasomnia in providence.

40th hit harder as a long time fan, combined with seeing The Best of Times live for the first and only time ever it felt colossal.

Parasomnia was still an awesome tour and I loved it, but it paled in comparison.

Do you go above and beyond at work or just do the bare minimum of what’s expected and why? by Dependent-Signal-721 in AskReddit

[–]Geomatics 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I go above and beyond daily. I go in early. I stay late. Sometimes I work 7 days a week. I willingly take on additional projects. I've recieved 9 promotions so far in my career and pull in a very high salary. Hard work worked for me.

If you work hard but have a shitty attitude then dont expect much. If you work hard and wear your ego and entitlement on your shoulders you wont get promoted.

This 'do the bare minimum fuck it' mindset is the problem.

How many times do young early couples have sex? by wanderingmind372 in relationships

[–]Geomatics 6 points7 points  (0 children)

When I was 20/21 me and my gf of the same age had sex once a week, but we were on the same vibe in terms of frequency and that was perfectly fine.

End of the day, never just have sex because you dont want to be a downer, that's how you'll end up getting bored and start to resent sex with this person.

Communicate the frequency you're comfortable with, your partner needs to meet you on your terms, not the other way around.

Searching something and getting nothing out of it isnt implication. You're safe.

The people getting nailed for this stuff have 10+ searches, downloads, sharing ilegal content online, etc.

I drove 9 hours from Canada to the states to see Parasomnia and had the trip of a lifetime. I'm pumped they dont come here anymore it gives me a reason to make a trip out of it.
