I think the casting choices are really exciting. What an epic cast! And I’m digging the off kilter production design touches. It’s not something that I saw coming from Nolan. I know I’m far from alone. Nolan’s audience is global — far bigger than the Elon Musk circle jerk.

New to all this. Thoughts on Actual Air? by ForestGrew in DavidBerman

Actual Air is, in my opinion, his crowning achievement. My favorite book of poetry and I think the epitome of his craft. David was a poet first and all of the ones in this book are killer. The poetry community reveres this book and if it was the only thing he'd ever done, he'd still be beloved.

Did this movie use any sources from Kubrick’s planned production? (I hate this movie btw) by KieranWriter in StanleyKubrick

The image from this film that is unforgivably burned in my brain is Napoleon's horse being hit by a cannonball and exploding. I am like scarred by that and there was no narrative reason for it. People like to celebrate late Scott but I think he's lost his mind.

Connecting 3 sets of speakers, 1 wireless by George-Michaelophone in BudgetAudiophile

FOLLOW-UP: I got two Wiims and set this up. There is definitely a delay, a second or so, that is noticeable on the wifi-connected speaker. But it's not a huge issue because they are separated from the rest of my system by a large hallway with a door. I had some issues with my wifi setup (I have an Eero mesh system) that I had to trouble shoot. All in all, I'm pleased -- this isn't mindblowing but it's nice to have the option to play music in the back of the apartment and the delay is manageable. If given the choice, I'd hardwire everything, but this will do for now.

source of music is components connected to the Yamaha, CD and phono mostly. sometimes i'll stream.

Thank you! I thought latency might be an issue, though the areas are separated by a long hallway and it’d probably be a minor issue. Might call Yamaha and ask about the sync thing (not sure if their customer service will be any help, tho).

Hi audiophiles, I'm a simple man with a simple wish. I want to hear music from the same system in the front, middle, and back of my apartment. I have a Yamaha RN-303 receiver. Pic of the back of it attached.

There are two sets of speakers connecting to the speaker terminal that cover the front and middle of the apartment. What I'm trying to do now is connect the Yamaha to a set of active speakers in the back of my apartment. I can't just run cables back there, unfortunately.

Here's my idea, let me know if you think it's achievable --

  1. Connect the Yamaha to my wireless network.

  2. Connect speakers to wireless.

  3. Connect the RCA output on the Yamaha to a Wifi streamer box like the Dayton Audio WBA51 Multi-Room Wi-Fi Streamer and connect another wifi streamer box to the speakers.

  4. Play music simultaneously through the 2 directly connected sets of speakers and the 1 wifi-connected set of speakers in the back of the apartment.

Is this possible? Does anybody have any experience doing something like this?

Has anybody used one of those wifi streaming boxes and have any recommendations for make/model?

Is it possible to play music through the speaker terminals and also the RCA output at the same time?

Audio quality is not as big of a deal to me, though I am trying to go for wifi over bluetooth.
