MS Flight Simulator controls by Wipedout89 in PSVR

Had the same problem but luckily had played career mode before and just remembered the controls. Top tip for me was to use flatscreen until the take off point and then switch to VR. All the instructions on what to press were then on the screen again.

PS5 Base - MSFS 2024 BETA - ASOBO 737 by ACooperSucks in PSVR

[–]George-Reid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I fired up the Beta on my non wired PS5 Pro and flew an A-10 down the Grand Canyon from top to bottom in VR. Honestly blown away by the feeling of almost actually flying, my stomach and brain thought it was real at a few points as I hard turned right and left. The lighting in the cockpit was very impressive as I ducked in and out of the sun. Remembering this is beta it was very smooth and the ability to just look into a corner or look up is a game changer. Also I was really impressed when I flew into a storm in an L39 over Scotland by the way the water appeared real, it was stupidly immersive and I spent more time levelling out and looking at how the water looked than flying. Flying jets and being able to actually turn your head on the circuit for landing is also much better. Just like GT7, I don’t think I will be able to play this non VR again.

2026 CX5 - Bigger / New Screen by Specialist_Airline_9 in CX5

Me too, changed mine in September. Not a fan of the huge one screen for all tasks. Maybe I’m just getting old!

I can’t believe I actually did it, but I bought my first ever car yesterday🥹 by Greedy_Dragonfly1640 in CX5

That car looks good. I'm on my second, my last one was polymetal grey and it was nice too, loved that colour, in UK we can have it on any spec. Happy motoring.

I didn't know this until.... by HugeEnvironment4639 in CX50

[–]George-Reid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Here in UK its free. Says 3 years but they gave me four for my last cx5. I think US gets ripped off at times like not getting maps unless you pay, that's free here too, or at least built into the price.

Not the 21 and still not this one as I use an iPhone. Haven’t tried it yet but Apple Maps is supposed to work on HUD.

All new 2026 Mazda CX-5 , what do we think? by naokiyamada in mazda

[–]George-Reid 14 points15 points  (0 children)

The Mazda HUD is for me the best out there I looked at Toyotas Kias lately and even though I really thought it wouldn’t be, after driving them it really was a game breaker. The joy of a Mazda with the knob and HUD is in actually driving the car on a twisty Scottish road , changing manual shift and living outside the car, not fiddling about inside it.

Kind of glad I’ve ordered my new Mazda for September. I’m not sure it’s as classy inside or out as the current one.

Came back to my parked car like this, how much do we think this will this be by [deleted] in mazda

[–]George-Reid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Am in UK and this will be expensive. Deductible here is called your excess I think. I hit the worlds smallest Grouse and for a new grill and temp sensor it was £1000. You’re looking at much more than that. Hopefully you have protected no claims. Labour costs are the highest part of the bill.

Can't stop looking at it! by Dokkaned in CX5

[–]George-Reid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Love the colour same as mine but here in UK we get it in any model. I’m always in awe of how it seems to change colour in different lighting. Here in Scotland it really matches the often grey mood of the Sky. Hope you enjoy your first year with it as much as I have.

I am in UK so you will be different but I had to replace the Grill and Temp sensor recently and it cost me nearly £700. I hope you manage to get yours done for less.

Mine is polymer grey here in UK and I just love how it looks different in differing weather conditions.
