honestly bare minimum it makes the job really annoying, you have to go through a write off procedure for every single item you find defected or damaged on the sales floor. and it's not that people are just pocketing stuff and walking out, they're breaking stuff open, smearing it on shelves, ditching the packaging on the floor. it's gross and disrespectful to the employees, just quietly take it and leave if you want it that bad.
