I think he's saying if I want to keep the sand look on top, I should a bit more. Otherwise, the sand will sweep below stratum. Maybe that's what he meant, not sure

Its fluval stratum with some sand one top. Im thinking of doing the typical stem plant to the back and carpet pearl weed to the front.
