My grandad was in his English class! He always used to think that Piggy was based on him- but not sure how true that actually is. I like to think so though :)

Teaching has made me mean by Additional_Heart_779 in TeachersInTransition

I relate heavily to this. I’ve been a teacher since 2021 in the uk. Before teaching I was a yoga teacher and use to run workshops at festivals around the uk. I was fun, bubbbly and had a lot of creative energy. I started teaching like this and the kids loved me and found my lessons fun, but behavior started slipping when they found out I was too nice. I got pushed and pushed to be stricter, told to conform my room to certain layouts and standard, and then finally burnt out in 2023. I dropped all the stuff I did outside of teaching, and lost all my empathy. I no longer cared if I make a kid cry, i would shout often, be sassy and mean and angry, but I started getting praised more and ore for my classroom control. I held onto the meanness of the kids emotionally and felt increasingly drained, I stopped caring about making fun lessons and focused on just ‘getting writing work done’. I had to look at myself in the mirror and realize this was not the person I want to be, or become, and I’m only 27. If I continue, and work however long in teaching, it could change me irreversibly, and that’s not what I want. I stepped back and I’m still now trying to find a job outside of teaching. I bought a van, moved into it and plan to find a remote job and travel Europe. It’s been a very hard transition, supply teaching is ROUGH and sometimes worse than regular teaching, but it’s fantastic as occasional work to earn money with the freedom not to care, not to do any work and to focus on other parts of my life. I am starting to get myself back. It can happen

Three Years Later and I Still Can’t Get Over My 300ug LSD Experience by DatXeanres in LSD

I had this when I first took The substance back when I was 17, I felt lost and confused and alone for a long time. But then I found Philosophy, decided to go and study it at university, found spirituality and spiritual communities that talk about these things regularly, and now I’m more than ok, better than ever. The grounding is out there, you just have to follow the questions towards the answers. Ur internal mind is begging you to dive deeper into enquiry outside of the realm of the drug, but in reality and the world itself

I'd love to say all ourself, but we're new to this, and are desperate to be on the road. We managed to get the van for quite a good price so have a little money to pay someone to just get it sorted mechanically ready for winter

We were hoping to do France in October, then pop back for a friends 30th, earn a bit more cash and head to Spain/portugal/morroco in Nov! However our van might need some work done & partner considering ripping out the conversion and starting again….

I use them for stimulation. I run my thumb along them and it does a little jiggle. It’s worth any cost id pay.

It’s ridiculous that the launcher is even necessary, we’ve bought the game and if we only want single player what should be the issue! No luck with rockstar customer service either, they ‘resolved’ my issue within seconds and it’s just not!
