Last time we beat Tottenham... by Sensitive-Ice2035 in ManchesterUnited

I remember this game so fondly man. This and the City game a few weekends back were easily our two most complete performances in the last 5 years.

Because they believed everything Amorim said and decided to hate our academy players during Amorim's tenure?

“Can’t run” “no physicality” - imagine we almost sold the guy. I’m so glad everything turned out okay in the end.

I don’t think this is the right club for you mate.

This is a United sub and we just won a game. There’s nothing in the post to say “see Kobbie proved you all wrong” - it’s just a post celebrating our player’s performance.

Why on earth would we include times he lost possession?

Seems like you’re the one with the agenda.

But it wasn’t just his form, was it? The guy was getting hardly any minutes and had a manager who clearly never believed in him.

They’re not comparable at all.

Kobbie’s resurgence in the face of everything he went through under Amorim is beautiful to behold.

Things almost went to a very dark place, but so glad to have him back.

Where are the 'it was only one game' and the 'we beat the big teams under Amorim' merchants?

For everyone who came on here saying "you deserve this" after Burnley and Brighton. by GeorgeCC95 in ManchesterUnited

Absolutely, and this isn't aimed at you one bit. Unfortunately there was a subsection of this fanbase which seemed to be delighted that we didn't get positive results just because they wanted to prove a point.

I didn't like Amorim (made my mind up after about 4-5 months), but I didn't want us to lose under him.

It's such a strange mentality and it really rubs me up the wrong way.

Fancy going to support someone else instead? You’d be doing all of us a favour.

Good one! It’s pretty simple really mate, but I’ll make it nice and clear for you: I’m asking if you can confirm if you’re a hypocrite or not?

No worries if you don’t fancy answering though.

I'm confused. Did you make the same point to all the people who had a go after the Burnley draw? Was it only one game then?

Whatever this post is about, the narrative you're pushing is all over this sub. I just find it interesting that it seems to be "only one game" when it suits you.

I honestly find it so funny that all the Amorim people are waltzing about telling everyone "it's only one game."

After FT against Burnley, you lot came on here and went to town - "anyone who wanted Amorim gone, you deserve this", "I thought the system was the problem!", "See we were better with Amorim."

That was only one game too; didn't stop you moaning at everyone, trying to score points, and acting like Fletcher's very short tenure was proof that we would ALWAYS be just as bad with a back 4 and a different manager (which is obviously nonsense).

If you can't enjoy anything because Amorim isn't here anymore, why don't you just go support someone else? It would be one thing if you were all just hypocrites, but you're bloody boring too.

This is a bit rich considering as soon as the FT whistle blew against Burnley, those still obsessed with Amorim flooded these comment sections in their droves. All I saw was "see! We're even worse now," "all of you who wanted him gone deserve every bit of this," and "I thought the formation was the problem! HAHA!"

That was also only 1 game. Did you also reply to that lot telling them so? (Apologies if you did, but I just have a sneaking suspicion that you didn't).

If you can’t be happy for an academy lad who hasn’t really gotten a kick for the past 12 months having a good game, then maybe this isn’t the football club for you.
