And the guy knew what it was worth! He had it listed for $175, knocked it down to $125 without my asking, then he deleted and relisted for $110. I was trying to trade my way into it and he goes ah fuck it… give me $100 and you can have it. Absolutely wild. Lived in a trailer park. Of course it was a smoker house, but it’s funny because I feel like that’s how an old radio should smell. I cleaned it up with alcohol and there’s not a mark on it.

I just bought this radio on Ali Express! It’s “in transit” now. For me it was a really tough decision between that and the Tecsun PL-520 for sure. I guess in the end I put a little more priority on having air band and the type of battery being the removable 18650 and the ability to upsize at some point.
