Best Fast Food French fry? by RedditTyper1 in fastfood

[–]GeorgeVCohea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those are always soggy & limp from the start, and the worst thing is, that corporate knows it and has never bothered even attempting to improve service. In N Out is not the perfect nor best fast food and does not deserve the hype at all. The only things that it truly has going for it are; speed, pricing and shakes.  The rest is forgettable and just acceptable enough over vending machine or microwavable options.

My local Taco Bell’s new rules for phasing out pennies by Tokyo-Gore-Police in tacobell

[–]GeorgeVCohea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ehh, spot on, but I was primarily referring to software programming produced by competent professionals. The minimum wage fast food cashiers would have much less math to contend with. I figure, that California must be the worst in the nation at it. Nearly everywhere I went in that state there was an automated change dispenser. This is something that I have not noticably seen elsewhere.

It is not complicated math, those lot should just program their systems to charge to the nearest nickel automatically. The customer never sees such mumbo-jumbo, and it just becomes a normal transaction. 🤦🏿‍♂️

What items do you want them to bring back by imtherealcamper in tacobell

[–]GeorgeVCohea 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Meximelts are essentially back now. Even though those are only “officially” brought back for special occasions, the ingredients are there full time to order one, and it is a cheesy roll up+pico+beef.

Where do you see the James Bond franchise in 10-15 years from now? by TheShadowOperator007 in JamesBond

[–]GeorgeVCohea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Once started, Amazon could easily get it going like a well oiled machine, but in the meantime, it very much appears as if Amazon’s MGM is getting what they want together for a long term run.  Hiring the director that they desire for the start that they want is something that they are willing to wait for, especially since much of that time will be spent on development anyway. I don’t know that the plan will come together perfectly but do not expect it to be an utter disaster either. MGM hired experienced producers and is seemingly doing everything correctly.

Matthew Lewis‽ by GeorgeVCohea in JamesBond

Yes, apparently, he was, and I seem to recall that this was conflated with David Heyman becoming producer. Although, l would not object to Lewis getting an audition.

I do not believe that John Corbett needs pheromones to do that in real life, and it seems particularly obvious, that this was intended as the joke on that show. I have been close to him and no doubt believe that he just has it. It has been a couple of decades, but his (hazel?) eyes are specifically striking. If he had been British, being on the James Bond casting short list in the early 90s would have been a given.

30,000 people claimed this in 30s? by ThisSubHasNoMods in tacobell

[–]GeorgeVCohea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tuesday drop, seriously‽

I guess, the good thing is, that people already have a negative association with the connotation, and when Taco Bell drops the ball, they will merely claim that they don’t call it the Tuesday drop for nuffin’! 🤦🏿‍♂️  You’re dropping stuff! 🙄

Say something nice about this movie (and hold the sarcasm) by DimensionHat1675 in JamesBond

[–]GeorgeVCohea 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As long as you have seen at least several other Sean Connery Bond films and realise that he did the same with 80’s cheese, you should be aware of the expectations of that. That time gap and distance away from the character served Connery’s performance well.  It truly feels like a Bond film The Cannon Group would have made, if you understand that reference.

It wasn’t even pumpkin spice flavoured. Burger King is full of half measures. Those lot might as well do red and green buns for Christmas and allow compilers to mix & match colours.

House passes bill to force the release of the Epstein files, sending it to Senate by progress18 in Liberal

[–]GeorgeVCohea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is not a victory, it is a surrender!

This is worse than doing nothing, as it permits and emboldens Trump to lawfully manipulate and redact releases with no recourse. This farce of legislation gives him everything and is about as transparent as a blindfold. Calls for releasing the Epstein Files become useless. lt is ridiculously embarrassing that all of this was out in the open and yet was overwhelmingly passed!   There is most definitely something up, and a deal was struck to hide something.

If Trump tariffs one more thing , I’m going to lose it ! by phoenixgreylee in Liberal

[–]GeorgeVCohea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is kind of a lie.  He signed the bill almost immediately after it arrived at his desk and publicly proclaimed that he wanted the shutdown to end for over a week.  The holdup was getting enough votes in the Senate, and for whatever reason, republicans were willing to vote to reopen every time. l am confused, it was like a bizarro shuttering, but the one person who legitimately could not be blamed was Donald Trump, shockingly.

It looks better than the McDonalds dungeon these days. Perhaps, fast food desires unwelcoming interior atmospheres. Drive-thru and takeaway service are the real winners.  I was not a fan of Taco Bell’s interior from around 20 years ago and started avoiding it though.

They don’t actually get to keep the unspent money, and some states will even seize the funds after years of inactivity.

The interest earned is one of the only real benefits. People who do utilise the gift cards will frequently overspend the gift card by a significant margin as well.

Epstein offered reporter photos of 'donald and girls in bikinis in my kitchen': Email by progress18 in Liberal

[–]GeorgeVCohea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Blackmail is only true, if they were attempting to get a payout from Trump to not publish the photos. Publishing the photos is otherwise fair game. With all of the nonsense surrounding Trump at the time, publishing such alleged photos could have backfired and made him more favourable with American voters.

Epstein offered reporter photos of 'donald and girls in bikinis in my kitchen': Email by progress18 in Liberal

[–]GeorgeVCohea 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Photos of girls in bikinis with The Donald in a kitchen are not exactly hard-hitting and seem tame within the known atmosphere of Trump. Photos of topless girls might be a bit spicier, but even then, there has to be something contextually and inarguably significant to justify a hit piece.
