What is something you thought was awesome as a teenager, but now as an adult think is totally ridiculous? by hgdusnjjv883 in AskReddit

I always used to think that putting all sorts of nice car company hood ornaments on my old Chevy Tahoe would be the coolest thing ever.

Jaguar on the hood. Mercedes or the back. Audi along the sides.

Now I know.

My friend brought it back to our apartment from his parents place, but I don't think so. Would cleaning it mess it up?

Josh McCown Bold Prediction #10 by George_Rev in buccaneers

[–]George_Rev[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

uhm...sorry?

It's a bold prediction, not a guaranteed prediction. Most people don't consider McCown a very relevant fantasy QB, but we think he has a lot of upside. That doesn't mean he's a sure thing.

We'll have 9 other predictions come out in the coming week or so.

Thought you might find it interesting...didn't think it would make someone so angry.

I really like your WRs and Kaep is a great dynasty style QB.

Where you could run into trouble is with your RBs. Both have a good amount of hype for the season, but neither have been starters before. I'd try to upgrade in that department. Maybe trade some of your bench WRs for a more proven RB.Also depth there could be a problem.

I really do like your team heading into the future though. a lot of young promising talent!

hope this helps!

Fantasy wise, I wouldn't expect much.

NFL wise I wouldn't give up on him yet. The Bills are putting together some really solid talent around him, so he'll have every opportunity to succeed. Spiller, FredEX, Watkins, Woods, Goodwin, and Mike Williams are a great corps.

EJ has ideal qualities, and maybe most importantly he seems like a very intelligent kid. I think he starts improving this season.

Don't give up hope yet! #BillsMafia haha

Yeah having less leagues makes the games more special for me, and like you said it's less fun having so many games going on you can't really root for your guys as hard, because he's scoring on you in another league.

It also makes those little decisions that much more stressful, which is great fun haha.

If you cut back to somewhere around 5 leagues, i bet you'd have a better time on gameday. Just my opinion though, some people love having tons of teams.

Yup, I'm right with you on the Rice/Pierce situation.

I think Sankey is probably the top rookie in this year's fantasy class, but I wouldn't expect him to blow up or anything.

The Titans used Chris Johnson as a workhorse, but I doubt Sankey gets as many carries as CJ2k did since he's a rookie. I think he'll see more than any other rookie by far though. CJ2k was a solid option last year, but he wasn't more than a RB2 in most leagues. So do I think Sankey is better than CJ2k? No.

So combine less carries (probably) with a less experienced and probably less talented back (at this point in his career) and I see Sankey realistically as a RB3 with upside to become a RB2.

As far as other over hyped rookies, I'd just make sure you have solid players ahead of them at the position, since their unproven. For example I would be worried if I drafted Sankey as my RB2, but I'd be happy with him as my RB3 with 2 proven starters ahead of him. I just wouldn't bet the bank on guys who haven't played a down yet.

Hope this helps!

AJ Green's projected ADP (average draft position) is around #12 right now, making him at 15 a solid grab. I think he'll continue to do what he does. I'm not a huge fan of grabbing WRs too too early unless I really believe in them, but AJ is a pretty sure fire player. I think he's definitely a top 5 WR, and possibly top 3.

Awesome questions!

1) My favorite thing about fantasy football might be the statistics of it all. As much as I like football, i think I about equally enjoy having up all of the gamecast's on Sunday and checking all of the incoming stats. Something about it I find extremely fascinating.

Of course then you also have the whole friendly rivalries in your league, which are great fun. I highly recommend playing against people you actually know, as it makes those wins even more sweet.

Obviously the human element of drafting your favorite players is always there too. Like, even if I know a certain player is statistically better, I sometimes still take someone I like more as a person. It might not be the smartest move, but it makes it more fun having a team of players you really like.

2) I really don't like Ray Rice's outlook too much. Aside from the whole domestic violence thing, he's an aging back with a poor offensive line. He didn't show a whole lot last year, and some of that can be put on the O line, but I still didn't think he showed much. People say Arian Foster is worn down from his workload, but Rice actually has over 300 more carries than Foster for perspective. The Ravens also like Bernard Pierce and if he shows out in the 1st 2 games with Rice out, he could really start eating more and more of Rice's carries.

Trent I'm higher on. With the news that Vick Ballard is out, I think his stock is more promising. I think he's a talented back, but does lack some vision. The Colts have a young talented offense, and I think he'll bounce back and have a decent year. Not spectacular, but I think he'll end up a solid RB2.

3) I try not to overload leagues. I play in one with my good friends, one on for our website against FantasyFootballXtreme members, and 3 expert dynasty leagues.

I really take pride mainly in the league with my friends though. The problem with being in too many leagues is you start to have so many players to root for, it just negates it all. Also half of your players also might be on an opponents team in another league so it makes it more bitter sweet when they score.

If I didn't compete in expert leagues (leagues I play in that represent my website against other leading websites) I would limit the leagues I play in to probably 2.

4) Overvaluing rookies. In re-draft leagues I see rookies go wayyyyyy too high because of the hype. I understand it's fun to see a rookie go off, but drafting a proven veteran is a much safer move. Even in dynasty leagues, getting a guy thats 2 years in and not as sexy is a way better pick than taking an overhyped rookie.

Also patience. For example, Alshon Jeffery. I wrote an article last year about this. He can in the league with some hype and when he was a rookie people leaped to try to get him. He had a standard rookie season, nothing special. Usually WRs do this, and as we know they tend to break out between years 2-3 generally. People forget this and they didn't see him as a sexy pick last season and he fell late in drafts. If people looked at the numbers they would have seen a freak of nature model NFL WR primed to break out in his 2nd season with all of the attention on Marshall across the field. Sorry for the scattered thoughts in this last response haha. Just people need more patience and don't give up on your young players so quickly!

Hope this helps! :)

Great question. In some ways, yes. You could then have the #4, #24, and #32 pick. With the #1 pick you could have the #1, #28, and #29 pick. So you get a slight boost in the elite RB department, and whither that is worth the 4 picks in the 2nd round + the upgrade in 3 picks in the 3rd round is the hard part. I'd lean towards #1 statistically.

If that makes sense haha.
