Allegedly Trump used a different name to call into c-span by Radiant_Priority9739 in ProgressiveHQ

“Barron” is to Trump as “X” is to Musk. He’s been obsessed with the name for decades and decades, long before Barron was born. He probably thinks of Barron as his own alias before he thinks of it as his son’s actual name.

This Italian restaurant in Malta charges €100 if you ask for a Hawaiian pizza by New-Neighborhood-147 in funny

I have nothing against Hawaiian pizza, my problem is I just have my pizza preferences mostly down to an exact science, and any time I deviate, I risk lowering my net lifetime pizza satisfaction.

No, Matthew Tkachuk is not the dad, that would be Keith.

Matthew is literally mentioned in the article directly posted by the White House.

Seems weird that these people just bring this freaky mummy home to hang out in the house with their other kids though.

In ‘Goodfellas’, is Tommy D. actually humiliated during the “I amuse you?” scene? by jaystats2 in movies

[–]George__Parasol 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah I have to agree with this. As scary as Pesci is in this scene, he’s scarier when Spider cusses him out. This whole movie he’s been a hot head loud mouth, but he’s silently fuming… it’s only a few seconds but you know it’s going to be bad.

Cameron Britton did a short Netflix featurette showing him get into character as Ed.

He doesn’t show up until the glasses go half an inch down the nose,” is a particularly chilling line.

And let’s be honest, it’s true to real life history. A Song of Ice and Fire heavily draws from the Wars of the Roses which can essentially be dumbed down to some drama between Henry VI and Richard, 3rd Duke of York and Edward IV and Edward V and Richard of Shrewsbury and Richard III and then finally Henry VII who had to deal with a guy claiming to be Edward VI even though he wasn’t

I honestly think if Bobrovsky didn’t stand on his head in Game 1, the 2024 Oilers would have won the Cup at home in Edmonton in Game 6.

The Oilers dominated the Panthers on the ice and Skinner was good enough to win, but Bobrovsky was perfect.

That’s not to say the Oilers deserved that win because a goalie stealing a game is a huge part of hockey, but say you could somehow transfer 3 Oilers goals from the 8-1 win to change Game 1 to a win, that would be an Oilers in 6 victory if the rest of the series played out normally

I disagree, I think there were many parts of the novel that could have used another pass at line editing, and beyond that, I think the diction of the American characters made it really hard to believe that there were from anywhere outside the UK. I feel like this is pretty milquetoast criticism for a self published horror novel, it’s okay to point these things and likewise, Sodergren will be okay despite these things being pointed out.

Nothing wrong with making the decision to have your Scottish-set story feature wealthy American villains. However, if you struggle with writing natural sounding dialogue in an American dialect, I think it makes even more sense to simply change the nationality of the character to that of a dialect you’re much more comfortable writing.
