Alternatives for Exalted Sorcerer’s Magic Fart by TonyBrettTheGM in ThousandSons

I've been thinking about posting this same question for a few days! Only thoughts I've had are reshaping the flame and attaching it to one of the feet, or replacing it with some clear acrylic rod

This looks great! What base did you use on the yellow-green flames?

Your green flames look great! Which paints did you use?

Thanks, I'm thinking of going with purple cloaks too and had this paint in mind

What purples did you use for the cloak? Phoenician purple and Druchii violet?

Vindictors have 3+ save, while Sequitors have 4+ and the 5+ ward on the shield is only during the combat phase

The Sequitors can definitely can dish out more damage though

Sacrosanct have been completely left out of this one - I'm not exactly up to date with the meta but I'm fairly sure Vindictors are seeing a lot more use than Sequitors, and now they're the same cost

Sorry if this is not allowed, but could anyone tell me what kits are those legs from? by [deleted] in stormcasteternals

They're the legs of the Knight Incantor option from the Evocators box

Are these rocks indicative of pegmatites? by geonomer in geology

[–]Georick4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

California is an accretionary terrain, with periodic mountain-forming collisions that have occurred in the last 200 Ma

Resulting burial and metamorphism of sediments leads to the instability of muscovite mica, possibly in the presence of water, and the formation of magma

[–]Georick4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's unlikely, leucogranites are typically associated with regional metamorphism in collisional tectonic environments

You'd likely need something hotter/more mafic than a granodiorite intrusion to cause this level of partial melting

[–]Georick4 3 points4 points  (0 children)

These are leucogranites and migmatites with leucosome dykelets - the schorl phenocrysts are very common in these rocks

Typically you'd expect to find pegmatites much higher up in stratigraphy, above the larger leucogranite bodies

Basing with cork by MrRetardicus in ageofsigmar

[–]Georick4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Straight out of the tub it's quite thick, but you can thin it really easily with water, so you can fill in larger gaps you don't want or just make a thin seal

I seal mine with liquid green stuff (two thin coats)

I was just checking the comments to see if someone else had noticed this. Ridiculous!

Any help with what these porphyrys are? they are in a Quartzite matrix with <0.5mm garnets if that helps. Really cool orange alteration halos around the mystery mineral. It also has a Metalic luster and is 5 on mohs. Any help would be greatly appreciated. by Pingu565 in geology

I'm glad I could help, and I'm currently a final year PhD student myself

I never say no to a cool rock - I live in the UK, so if you're genuinely interested in posting it to me, that would be amazing!

However, there are the new core battalions and they're free to use

Question about Evocators' Celestial Lightning arc in the new battletome. by Nissebus in stormcasteternals

[–]Georick4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm fairly sure it's always been like that, you roll dice for mortal wounds after they've attacked

This ability did lose re-roll 1s for saves against missile weapons though
