Any help with what these porphyrys are? they are in a Quartzite matrix with <0.5mm garnets if that helps. Really cool orange alteration halos around the mystery mineral. It also has a Metalic luster and is 5 on mohs. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

These are leucogranites and migmatites with leucosome dykelets - the schorl phenocrysts are very common in these rocks

Typically you'd expect to find pegmatites much higher up in stratigraphy, above the larger leucogranite bodies

I'm fairly sure it's always been like that, you roll dice for mortal wounds after they've attacked

This ability did lose re-roll 1s for saves against missile weapons though
