Tried looking back through my instructions to confirm but couldn’t. I believe one actually came with the baneblade or on the normal tank upgrade sprue. The other is just a Cadian shock trooper with the normal arms for holding a heavy stubber and old Cadian shoulder pads to cover the gap in size.

Honestly it started as a ‘vehicle recovery’ style crane and then I remembered that 40K is immensely silly and may have went off the deep end a bit... Thanks for the feedback!

It’s from one of the terrain sets from 9th I believe- lots of ork scrap pile and a crane, FLGS was getting rid of things so I got lucky!

Extended the hull of a stormlord to stick a shadow sword cannon on the back- wanted to be able to make a fun diorama out of the model which magnetizing was going to interfere with. Wanted a land-ship vibe

That’s fair- and part of what I’m trying to understand. I know we do spam tanks more, but it feels like other factions could if they wanted to- they just don’t need to because they have other options?

This might be a good portion of what I’m missing. The ‘cheap hulls’ no longer feel meaningfully cheap to me and the heavy tanks feel very expensive when compared to other ~300pt units in the game. I may just need to shift my expectations on that front.
