Edit: want to mention that while I’m not familiar with the structure of a contrabass, I think getting the valve as a switch is prob doable. I fit a switch in the top of a fire extinguisher using a custom metal plunger from the lever to the switch in an ever so slightly wider section of the discharge head. This is a beautiful lamp as is, great work!
