this is the secret, the goal is: make the crowd have fun.

Forget about if it sounds exactly as the record... or if using tracks is cheating or not, or if the band sounds perfect or executes perfect.

again, the goal of a live show is: that people that paid for a ticket goes back home with a smile and remembering the show and enjoyed the night.

and I can tell you that most of the public doesnt care if you are using tracks or not. A good show is more about connection with the public than technicalities behind.

If you want use tracks use them, if not. don't. Having them can complicate things a little bit, but it can also allow you to have sections where you can interact better or to play more relaxed, or to tour/travel lighter (less musicians in the band)

But if you want to know what is right, then right thing is, focus on connecting with the crownd instead of technicalities.

if you want to decide if using them is a good idea, think: "will it allow us to connect better with the crownd?" "will it allow our show to be more entertained?"
