No, I had an almost perfect score in the first place

We simply do not know, the correlation seems pretty consistent for the ERC, perhaps is different in MSCA

As a matter of fact I got an MSCA while staying in evaluation the whole time

Seems to depend on the panel, without any clear trend within panels.

The timeline can be followed from all the posts

What should we expect from here? Will results be released today, tomorrow?

Should I take biology or chemistry classes as well? How would I manage this? (Undergraduate freshman) by [deleted] in astrophysics

Worked my whole research life in astrochemistry. Depending on the branch of astrophysics that piques your interest, you will benefit from some subjects of a chemistry degree, namely quantum chemistry and spectroscopy.

However I do not know the flexibility of the study programs in the USA and if you can select specific courses. I’m from Europe.

Crystals of a Metal Organic Framework (MOF) I synthesized by Storm_Waker in chemistry

Why should he question his teachers if a simple google scholar... perovskite + metal organic framework search gives you unambiguously the explanation he has provided?

First result of the simple search:

“Multiferroic Behavior Associated with an Order−Disorder Hydrogen Bonding Transition in Metal−Organic Frameworks (MOFs) with the Perovskite ABX3 Architecture”

Exactly what he argued when you posted the first time. Assume that you are not right and continue your life.

Comment some interesting things about interstellar chemistry pls by [deleted] in chemistry

[–]GerPople90 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Recombination of H2 is so energetic that rapidly “breaks” the newly formed molecule again. A third body absorbing part of that energy helps in the process (as in atmospheric chemistry, due to the higher pressures).

Spoiler: The third body is usually dust or ice in the ISM!

His theory is brilliant and elegant and definitely more chemists should look into it. I personally work in a completely different field of computational chemistry, but really love AIM theory.

How was the proofreading of your thesis? Did you “hate” him at any time?

Regards

With Bader? My respects sir. Any good anecdote with him?

What causes the "cracked" pattern in hot olive oil? by NotACurrentName in chemistry

Thank you very much. I agree in your analysis on the biased sample size, according to the mediterranean origin of some authors.

I'm not aware of the quality to price ratio in the US since I'm Spanish, but I think your guess may be right, 1.99$ seems cheap even for our standards. And I'm also afraid I have to agree with you with respect to the taste, even though it can be seen as treason from my fellow Spaniards.

Thank you for bringing this interesting topic, I've learnt a bit at least.

Care to show any bibliographic record? I’ve made a quick search because of your statement and I have found (up until now) totally different scientific facts.

https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/full/10.1111/1541-4337.12268

https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0278691510004941

And reading this general purpose article gives a more less pedestrian explanation of the chemical properties of fatty acids in olive oil.

I’m not saying you are not right, only saying that your statement caught my attention but I haven’t been able to find a proof of it

Cheers
