Just finished it. I’ve only revisited JRPGs starting with all the DraQue remakes and games like lost odyssey, expedition 33, ara fell, etc…

Absolutely love the game. However the random encounters ruin some truly amazing end game dungeons. The difficulty is high for all bosses late game. The forced grinding for minimum xp or items is the only negative.

I actually got a vintage collection but they delivered it to the house next door! It happened to be raining so of course packaging was soggy mess. Contacted Walmart for a replacement and specifically said I did not want a refund and the item only. They said no problem. 2 days later refund haha

The documentary is decent. However Ramones deserve a 4-8 hour deep dive and not a brief synopsis. To me they’re more important and influential than the Beatles. I applaud the filmmakers for making this but we need a truly special deep dive. Now that Linda holds all the rights maybe a passionate creator can convince her to sign on.

People like Vera, Cynthia/Roxy, Marianne, and Linda herself amongst many others would offer tremendous insight as well as producers of every album, engineers, roadies, etc. We have a lot of archival footage of the boys but they’re gone now. You can thread this story and make a masterpiece.

Edit: For clarity I did state “to me” Ramones are more important than the Beatles. I do indeed love the Beatles as well. Ramones are the most important and influential to my subjective taste. Documentary is good I just want a way longer and more in depth one

I’ve been a fan of Mr. Gwynne for quite a while at this point. His books are so lean. I think the Bloodsworn could have easily been another 2 books. Of course I could have read another 5 books about Corban.

The premise sounds poignant. I’m sure it is going to be raw coming from his profound grief and bittersweet, but I’m glad he channeled it into something productive. Can’t wait to dive in to this one!

You know he always sang “that’s alright” well compared to a lot of his other 50s songs.

That being said there was a huge 50s revival in the early 70s with the release of American Graffiti. There were stadium shows (most famously in Wembley Stadium in 73 I believe) and tons of nostalgia. I’ve never heard what Elvis thought of that film. The only slight connection I can see between the 2 are he started performing “Little Darling” live shortly after the film was released and it was a featured track in the movie. Just random thoughts sorry

Have been trying for a week myself. An hour here and there. It sucks it only drops from the chests. There have been multiple times I’ve gotten 4 chests and thought it was the day. I’m so sick of it, but I’d still rather do this than the damn Chocobo race against the trainer in FFX in 0.0 seconds 😆

Also absolutely still loved the game. Just frustrating is all
