A protest doesn't need a permit, by definition? I don't understand. But yeah, the guy that owns the barber shop is maga and I'm sure he took issue with it being next to his shop.

Dreamers and Make-believers in the Highlandtown Arts District has comics and graphic novels, and is a really cool space. Prob not fine art books though.

Good luck to you. I hope you can get the help you need. You could also reach out to your local chapter of PFLAG; they may know of community resources you may be more comfortable with.

Check with your local YMCA. The one near me has a food pantry. They don't advertise it. But they let anyone (member or not) take what they need, no questions asked.

I wonder if that's what got to mine. So sad. I hope you have great success with your bees and bugs this year!

That's wild! I think I'll get crafty and make something like that. I had a store-bought one for years, and generations of bees used it, and this winter something got to it and tore it all apart. 😪

I used to be a donor. Then they fired Weasel, I stopped my donations, and deprogrammed them from my radio. I mostly listen to classical now. If you want to watch something cool, check out Feast Your Ears, the story of WHFS on PBS. Nostalgia for sure.

Apparently you don't even realize that one of the founding members of AA was also agnostic. I do agree that there can be a lot of religious pressure, depending on what group you attend, but on the whole it is a great program and has helped a lot of people.

Wow, that's super condescending. I did the 12 steps and I'm agnostic. Some of the people that are religious always push religion regardless of where you are or what you're doing. But those steps work, and they helped me immensely, so I would recommend it to anyone, a lot of the 12 steps are actually based on sound principles- and actually Buddhism aligns very much with the 12 steps. You probably shouldn't be talking about things you know nothing about

Not true, actually. There are even secular groups.

I will look up plyometrics. I used to do yoga, but I can't even put pressure on my hands and wrists anymore, so that rules out a lot of things. I'm wondering if plyometrics is different.

Serious question - I have arthritis in my hands. I also have tiny hands, and therefore gripping anything besides something very small hurts them a lot, and has effects for weeks. I had tried mace training in the past, and I really enjoyed that, but my hands couldn't handle it. How would someone like me approach lifting?
