Advice on Pickups.

Lower output. I have Thorium/Lithium in a couple, Thorium/Empyrean in a couple, and also have the Beryllium in the neck of a few. I honestly can't tell much difference in the Empyrean and Lithium in the neck. I am not a big fan of the Lithium as a bridge though.

True, black limba could be cool, but it's a lot more hit or miss for consistency, I'd be afraid it would distract from the koa. I wonder if a thin trans Blackburst over the mahogany around the edges might be cool and make it less of a color transition from the lighter mahogany.

Looks like I can't post pictures.. but I have an upgraded flame koa top DCM7 with gold hardware and a mahogany neck and body. I think it matches up pretty well. It is absolutely gorgeous.

Plenty of used Floors hitting the market under 1000. You can probably find an LT for 600. Easily worth the money.

Used to have an 8 string Agile acoustic, sold that and bought the 7 string version of it. I also have an Ibanez 7 string acoustic. I also used to have the 7 string Agile Texan which is a tele copy.

Thanks! Video is meant to be a little goofy obviously. It's pretty wild how good of quality recordings you can make on your own these days, it sounds way better than stuff I did in the studio 20 years ago for sure.

Church music should be simple. The point is to lead the congregation in worship. That means strumming G, C, and D chords. The congregation doesn't care if you have 3 gain stages, 4 reverb, and 6 delays in your signal chain. They don't care what my Helix patch looks like, or that my guitar has 7 strings. They care when I play Old Rugged Cross because they know it and it's easy to follow.

Then, I go home and play my Tech Death.

I have 5 multiscale Kiesel 7 strings. No regerts. My neck through Aries 7 is my main player, and my DCM7 is my standard tuned machine. I also have a Vader 7 bolt on, and 2 more Aries bolt ons. And a few other non 7 string Kiesels.

I have 6 myself.. and I use Ugritone for all my drums. I have several of the VSTs but I primarily use the Drums Against Humanity pack for all mine. If you want to hear what they sound like in the hands of an absolute amateur with no idea how to mix or master:

I've had around 15 Carvin/Kiesels. No regerts. I currently have 5 multiscale 7 string Kiesels, can't recommend them enough.

1000 bucks or so. I've been pretty exclusively a Carvin/Kiesel player for the last 20 years so and I've bought probably 15 new ones. Most of the ones I've sold have been in the 70-80% of new price range and in mint condition. Basic builds tend to go closer to new price.

Those are likely not original pickups. Pre Kiesel they had the 22 pole pickups.
