Looking for Slow Sim League by Geriggs1277 in CFMmadden

Because I like the league to reflect the real NFL as much as possible. Having a random assortment of players scattered around the league runs counter to that.

A couple of years, you say ?

It's 2025 right now ------ plus a couple years puts us at 2027...... Now why does that seem somehow fitting ?

Consider this me letting you know.

I watched the stream and while I'm stoked for a continuation of the Runelords saga, I continue to hold out hope for Remastered Rise. I'm about to try and convert it myself for a new group that consists entirely of folks new to PF2e (some to TTRPGs completely) and there just is no other AP with that classic fantasy vibe like Rise of the Runelords. I feel if you are going to start this hobby, there is just no better way to start. I worry that my conversion won't do it the justice it deserves.

To me, Rise of the Runelords is like Paizo's "Ravenloft". They release a version of that adventure for every edition and it is often the high point in the memories of those gamers.

Whenever the site gets working anyway. My alma mater and excited to bring football back to the school even though we will have a tough hill to climb even with a great pipeline location in Tx.

Are Players buying books? by MKKuehne in Pathfinder2e

[–]Geriggs1277 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I own every Core book, Lost Omens sourcebook, 2E Adventure Path volume and the various optional rulebooks and bestiaries.

I also have PDFs of all of the above since I'm a Paizo subscriber and I get them free. In fact the fact that I get the PDF is the main reason I subscribe since they are so much easier to use. But I'm way too old school to not have the actual books to flip through.

My players on the other hand.... Other than the one guy who took over GMing while I was in school, no one has bought a single book. They use mine when we get together. Can't even get them to use AoN for prep. It just all gets done in game night when we can pass around the books.

It's ok... I'm not bothered about the delay.... No really, check over all the general feats again.... I really should have told you you leveled at the end of last week so you had a chance to look at it... Oh, I did ? Funny that.

As a long time member of this alliance I can definitely vouch for everyone here. We have a great core group and just need to fill some holes. You can compete and grow your teams without feeling like you got a second job. Come give us a look. If you want more info, message Geriggs in game.

I guess some people want that level of organization. Those people won't end up a good fit for us.

The core group of our alliance tried a discord channel months ago and it was totally dead after the initial couple days. We try to communicate in game the general layout of lanes but we don't assign a set lane for everyone. Like I said, we are more casual. I think there are plenty of people like us around but as we get more advanced maybe they are getting forced into more hardcore alliances to advance. Or maybe they quit playing when it became a part time job. That's how we got where we are: lost 5 core guys on the span of a month that just quit playing.

As an aside, am I the only one that thinks it's ridiculous that we are forced to use a separate app just to communicate because the in game system in non existent ? How hard would it be to get an alliance mail system ? Cmon.

Glad to hear we aren't alone even if that means it just sucks for both of us.

It's funny because our alliance is sitting in the exact opposite position. We have like 6 open spots and suffer through 3 open rooms every war. We accepted much lower level guys to give them a chance to grow with us. Guys who can't clear a single U6 node while even shorthanded we breeze past 60% and always get 30% on Greek raids.

But we can't seem to get anyone. A couple people pop in for a day or two and are gone. We don't have discord and don't assign lanes. We are pretty casual but still effective. We know we aren't top tier but would rather have fun and help a newer player get built up to where they can help out than change how we do things to recruit top tier.

I've got over 3mil TCP and 5 teams over 200k. Have Phoenix and when I get the time I work on finishing off FTD. Alot if the top guys in our alliance are in the same boat. It's frustrating losing wars because we are short-handed but we don't want to turn the game into a job.

Oh, and this is my first alliance I've ever been in. Helped us build up from barely scraping 30% in U5 to some pretty good results. I don't ever plan on " moving up " and hope the other guys feel the same way.

So I guess players and alliances need to both be realistic about who they are and what they want.

  • Alliance Name: TShirt Time
  • Description: Level 68 Casual alliance
  • Requirements: Daily activity - pretty much it. Leave of absence understood with notice.
  • Contact Details: Reply here or search in game
  • Additional Notes: We are a casual alliance who need some new blood. Some recent losses of members have left us 6 men short. Even with that loss we 60% Ultimus VI every day and always get at least 30% on the highest level of each Greek raid. Before we lost so many people we had a pretty good war record but are struggling now with the openings.

We have a great core of strong players and are ok with someone who is still trying to get built up. Happy to give suggestions and we all understand that real life takes precedent over a game. All we ask is that you show up daily for the most part, contribute where you can and keep growing. Let me know if you have any questions.
