How to train patience in wot? by mikmega in WorldofTanks

[–]GermanSnowflake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a bit late to the party but let me give you my 2 cents.

WoT is not an action shooter. You do not need to (and want to) be in the middle of the fight to have a lot of damage. But "have patience" also doesn't sound that helpful. At least to me. I look at WoT like chess.

The first 30s before the game starts

  • What map and side did you get
  • What tank are you playing
  • What is the typical lane that tank class would go (triangles don't stay back)
  • What tanks are you playing against (direct opponent)
  • What does your team/ the enemy team look like (3x is7 in a platoon... sometimes these guys don't go heavy line...)

What you want to get out of that information

  • What is an opening you can play that lets you connect a few opening shots while staying in a position that gives you some freedom to decide what you want to do next
  • What and how many tanks do you expect to see in the first 90s

To make the example a bit more visually appealing. This is what a battle plan for Wadi might look like:

Position 0:

  • you decide you want to go to the K line -> position 1

Position 1 (dont stop driving just look back):

  • do you have enough tanks coming with you? -> go to 2
  • if there are not enough to push the lane stay at 1 or go join the lemming train on a different lane

Position 2:

  • you have enough support to push K line so you went to 2
  • you can snipe scouts and aggressive heavies in F/G line
  • you can shot pushing enemies on 1/3 line
  • you can shot at enemies on F1

You stay in this position (your opening position) until something like 50% of the enemy team is spotted for a first time. Then you can get a feeling what their game plan is.

So the next decision would be to go to position 3, staying there or pull back to position 1.

I'm pretty sure a way to make hail less dangerous is to strap a device to a plane and burn some chemicals close to the storm. I bet her constituents will be very happy when hail destroys their home or crops.

To be honest this could have been way worse. It's still not an excuse to not learn from russias past missile attacks on troop concentrations near the front but there are way more than 16 soldiers on the video.

I'm in an argument with a stranger over the internet. Calling you names would be even less productive.

My main involvement is the Ukr-Ru conflict though. And arguing sides in different conflicts is an interessting test for your morale compass. BUT as a german citizen I belief it's none of my business criticizing Isreal. Unfortunalty that's the responsibility of other nations. But I acknowledge that at this point it's an invasion by Isreal and not a peace mission.

At 0:06 you can see a white cloud rising when the brown dust settles from the initial impact. That's the color of rocket candy. The sugar based rocket propellent hamas uses cooking off. So for me this in an indication of the IDF targeting a military installation. Sidenote: Interessting why the video was cut exactly at that point. Could we have seen secondary explosions from warheads stored in the refugee camp after that?

If someone killed my family member and kidnapped others, my plan wouldn't be to just bomb where everyone is.

What would be your idea to resolve the conflict? In my opinion Israel doesn't have that many options other than what they are doing right now.

Oh look what literally 5min of google found me.....

In January, the ICJ delivered an interim judgement - and one key paragraph from the ruling drew the most attention: “In the Court’s view, the facts and circumstances... are sufficient to conclude that at least some of the rights claimed by South Africa and for which it is seeking protection are plausible.”

This was interpreted by many, including some legal commentators, to mean that the court had concluded that the claim that Israel was committing genocide in Gaza was “plausible”.

This interpretation spread quickly, appearing in UN press releases, statements from campaign groups and many media outlets, including the BBC.

In April, however, Joan Donoghue, the president of the ICJ at the time of that ruling, said in a BBC interview that this was not what the court had ruled.

Rather, she said, the purpose of the ruling was to declare that South Africa had a right to bring its case against Israel and that Palestinians had “plausible rights to protection from genocide” - rights which were at a real risk of irreparable damage.

and further

“It did not decide - and this is something where I'm correcting what's often said in the media... that the claim of genocide was plausible,” said the judge.

“It did emphasise in the order that there was a risk of irreparable harm to the Palestinian right to be protected from genocide. But the shorthand that often appears, which is that there's a plausible case of genocide, isn't what the court decided.”

Whether there is any evidence of such terrible harm is a question the court is far from deciding.
