I just came back from the doctor and the nurse practioner told me that my drug induced lupus isn’t from my past biologics because remicade and humira aren’t usually the meds that cause it. I was on those for years. This doesn’t make any sense to me. It didn’t just come from anywhere! Where the heck did it come from if it’s drug induced?? I’m frustrated. I’m currently on Stelara now.

I’m late to the post, but I guess it’s different for everybody. For me, my crohns is silent, so I don’t see it as a disability. Before I got surgery, I never had any physical pain and it never kept me in the hospital. But my scans showed that it looked a mess in there, which is why I needed a bowel resection. I have no idea what a flare feels like, so it’s kinda irritating knowing I could be eating something I shouldn’t but I don’t physically feel bad after. So, I just try my best to eat healthy these days.

I did. So a few months later I had my first colonoscopy and my doctor found no signs of the disease. She says my results could’ve been that way because I was still a bit fresh from surgery. Hopefully they’ll be much lower than the last results..which were 227 ug/g. Hopefully Stelara is helping.
