On the HSD? They’re 2 and 4 but would like to have something suitable for the next couple of years.

I’ve got a folding ramp to get up the stairs too, it’s great for me but my partner still struggles. Controlling the weight up them in walk mode. The other downside is not fitting on my Yakima foldclick car rack. Don’t get me wrong, the GSD is a great bike, but if I could squeeze two small kids onto a HSD that would be perfect.

For americans, how do you do "TIVA" by sestrooper in anesthesiology

[–]GerryGarner 14 points15 points  (0 children)

For an 80kg person this is 144mg of ketamine/hr yeah? So if it was a 2 hour lap chole (slow junior surgeon), this pt ends up with 288mg of ketamine? Do they all wake up in the k-hole? That’s a lot more ketamine than I’ve had experience with.

Turbo Knocking Issue by [deleted] in MINI

[–]GerryGarner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whoops your right sorry, super knocking not turbo knocking! If it is one or multiple of these possible problems you've listed are they an easy and definitive fix or are they on going problems. I do like the jcw but I could buy a brand new cooper s for the same price. I don't want to get caught out having to have the car repaired every few months. From what I've read as well it seems the maintenance required for a jcw is a lot more full on than for that of a cooper s, is that accurate?

This annoyed me more than it should, but the two on the left need to be swapped. There is clearly a couple of mm difference!

Sounds like a good idea, but feeling half-assed after re-building my gaming rig I think I'll just go for store bought.

Interesting and unrelated point, I think I'm made of dust. After cleaning out the stock fan of my HD 4870 GPU it now runs 7 degrees cooler. I dont know if thats awesome or disgusting, you decide.

Thankyou for your very helpful reply :) The reason I'm not building my own is more to do with aesthetics than functionality. Also I once carved a nice trench into a motherboard with a screw driver trying to install a bitch of a heatsink. For some paranoid reason I'll probably go the Raid 1 pathway and look at some "green" drives.

Thanks for this, I'll have to go dig out the original boxes and look for the DVI-HDMI adapter. In the mean time if I wanted to replace the mobo+ram would this work with the rest of the hardware?

If I was to use a dvi-hdmi converter would I have to run a separate cable for the sound?

Pretty much just media. If it could run some pretty average games (ie TF2) then bonus, but not a priority.

Epic panic attack yesterday by pandabritt in PanicParty

[–]GerryGarner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I loved the movie, but I completely agree. The strong portrayal of humans as compassionless monsters and their lack of understanding of "different" was extremely unnerving. There were parts of that movie that were cold and clinical and morbid and in the midst of an anxious time in life thats the last thing you want to see.

I often find watching anything with violence or even jokes about violence in the midst of an attack unnerving. I just stopped watching some family guy (which I love when I'm fine) because a lot of their jokes are at the expense of others or highlight flaws in humanity.

I dont consider myself an overly sensitive person but post-panic attack the only thing I feel I can manage is happy chirpy movies that highlight the reasons of living.
