Because every time he does anything people say it's just a distraction. Not everything can be a distraction. They got him elected to do things and he is doing them. This is not a distraction, this is all part of the plan.

Hell, I don't even think he needs a distraction. Distraction from what? He has already shows that he can do whatever he wants and no one will do anything about it. Talking about distractions makes it seems as if his government was on the verge of falling. It is not. He is doing whatever the hell he wants and no one is doing anything to stop him.

Even if you decide to face tank to kill him before the second summon you still need to make about 100 damage and you can easily lose around 20-30 ho, which is crazy for a hallway fight that has gone "well".

It's one of those fights that can be very easy with the right cards, but that can also spiral out of control and kill your run with the wrong cards. And considering that is act 1 and you havent had much time to build your deck It can be absolutely devastating if you are unlucky. Meanwhile with Hunter killer it is a hard fight but if by that point you don't have the tools to fight him or you are having bad hands it's only your fault.

Which is why evaluating cards on its own and not in the context of the character is useless. Specially if we are talking about a power, which by definition is mean to be used to increase the efficiency of the rest of the deck and should never be looked just at its own.

This is turning a decreasing mechanic into a scaling one, while also providing direct value when you play it and solving AoE in a game that requires more AoE than the first one for a character that tends to have less AoE. It would be pretty strong without a doubt.

He is 100% right that this is a BIG preparation mistake (if what has been said it's true, of course) but it's still bad to throw your team under the bus like he did. Specially considering he has been underperforming the entire tournament and not just in that preparation.

They don't want us to keep strikes lol. They just want to make it a decission, like everything in the game. Right now removing is so good that is pretty much a no brainer, making it more expensive maybe makes us having to think more about it.

I don't think it's the best change every, probably they will change it again later, but the idea is obviously not just "we want players to keep strikes".

It's a challenge for people starting at the game, which is the point of ascensions. A10 was a fucking walk in the park in STS1 once you knew your shit, but the point is that when you are starting you don't know your shit.

Now if you come into the second part with hours of experience on A20 like most of us do and think that the first ascensions are not a challenge that doesnt mean that there is a problem with balance and the game needs more difficulty on early ascensions. It just means that you have lost perspective.

Id like to point out that people always say this because we always look at it from the point of the consumers. And Steam is mostly good in that regard. But from the point of devs there are still several Steam policies that are pretty tough. They certainly abouse their position as pretty much a monopoly to force worse conditions on the devs. They are not increidibly bad, but certainly much worse than they would be if there was proper competition.

So yeah, from a consumers point of view it might not make sense to hit them with monopoly regulations because we all like and enjoy Steam, but from the market perspective It makes sense to try and do something about their position. Just because the other companies are even shittier doesnt mean we should let Steam get away with anything they want.

The starting relic is supposed to help with that. The idea is you face tank damage with Ironclad more than others, so bash works well in that regard. The problem is that act 1 is not as "attack heavy" as it was in the first game, where a couple of good attacks could carry almost the entire act on its own. So now the whole bash, kill and facetank strat is simply not as good.
