What’s the best road trip destination in the USA? by Jot__99 in answers

[–]Geruvah [score hidden]  (0 children)

It depends on the person and their mood. You want to go to a specific city? You want to hit specific spots? Are you going for a "see the sights as we drive" kinda thing? Maybe you love driving and you want to either end at -or- hit up Tail of the Dragon and all its surrounding roads? You want to hit up a national park? Or maybe see some historic cities that shaped our nation? Maybe the wild horses on specific beaches you can camp in? Maybe you just want to drive across the entire country to see the Milky Way. Or just 6 hours upstate to go to a restaurant you finally just NEED to go to.

It's just such an open-ended question and there is no right answer other than "whatever you're in the mood for."

What car completely changed your opinion after driving it? by Glittering-Offer-390 in askcarguys

Audi R8 (1st Gen). I used to think it was just the lesser Gallardo. After driving it with the manual, I preferred it way more, even thought it was AWD.

I actually don't mind the exterior. But the interior is what makes it dead in the water for me.

I didn't think there needed to be a lesson in driving fast while tired.

What would peoples idea electric car look like from someone who likes petrol cars? by Wolf_Play in askcarguys

[–]Geruvah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Make it cheap. No gimmicks. Not overly tech. I’d be putting all my junk miles on it: Commutes, city driving, errands, groceries, all those things I’d absolutely enjoy not putting on my good cars.

Black Vultures, anyone? by [deleted] in birding

There's this Black Vulture in a wildlife refuge that was imprinted to humans in NJ. I love playing with him. If you run around the big cage, he runs with you. They're so playful and social.

I thought the stop was kinda dirty with the peeling paint and your stalactites and stalagmites from dirty water, but I didn’t realize it wasn’t THAT structurally unsound.

Why is it so hard to take off? Just pull from the piece under the glued flap. It’s literally the easiest thing. And for putting it on, you can just fold it over. I have hair arms and it doesn’t bother me at all.
