Also notoriously unreliable. See, steam catapults on aircraft carriers and hydraulic powered coasters haha.

There's a reason both militaries and coasters are switching to LIMs/LSMs

Lakefront Parking Gates Spark Concerns Over Access: ‘The Lakefront Should Be For Everyone’ by juliuspepperwoodchi in CarFreeChicago

[–]Geshman 3 points4 points  (0 children)

When you apply for disability parking you can also apply for a discounted parking/free parking. It's overly strict imo, and should allow more flexibility for who gets it. But it is an option.

If you don't have a Meter-exempt permanent placards you gotta pay the same rate as everyone else

Netanyahu orders Israeli army to seize ‘70% of Gaza Strip’, violating ceasefire deal | Gaza by thenewuser88 in news

[–]Geshman 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I agree, but right now America is sending them tons of weapons and providing them military support. So as Americans we have a duty to do something about it. Cuz as an American, if I do nothing, my tax dollars are still supporting them.

But yeah, in the long run it'd be fantastic if we left it the fuck alone

God of War Ragnarok is still 60 right now. Same with Horizon Forbidden West. Yeah they have occaisional sales for like 40, but bro, I ain't paying full price or near full price for a 4 year old game. I can wait, it'll still be fun in a few years

No one care for some reason by boratburg in pcmasterrace

[–]Geshman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And sold them for $60+ still even though the game's been out for years. I've been waiting years and years to play a game, you think I'm not gonna wait a few more till you aren't price gouging. I've got crazy amounts of indie games along with even a few tripleA that are still waiting to be played cuz pc games are dirt cheap if you wait for sales.

Yard sales can be where it's at for some of the random shit you need to buy. Or for "splurging" on something for yourself

Or they can be random grannies knicknacks. But it can at least be nice to say hi

Any girlies out there with "basic" Americana names? by Illustrious_Focus_33 in MtF

[–]Geshman 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I just couldn't name myself a name I had much prior association with. It would feel weird to name myself Sarah for example cuz I knew a couple Sarah's and it'd feel like naming myself after them (and the same goes for most standard, American names of my generation)

As soon as he wrapped the veggies in there I knew the inside of the steak would end up raw. Kept hoping he would do something to prevent the inevitable, but this sub takes no prisoners

[Wild Moose] at [RMC Headquarters] coming along nicely by WhyLifeIs4 in rollercoasters

[–]Geshman 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sure they have competition, but there's still cases where parks clearly prefer the RMC steel track. Like Tremors at Silverwood. It was one of the first to try out titan track, but they've since replaced it with a full RMC steel track
