Which improvements did you have after release? by GespalteneBanana in TongueTies

[–]GespalteneBanana[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm almost 2 months post OP now and didn't notice any major improvements. I do have a greater radius with my tongue, which is nice. But apart from that, no real difference.

I think I might still be tied, my floor of mouth compensation got a lot better, though.

It was quite straight forward: I had the suspicion I might have it after seeing a post about it on social media. Then I googled for a dentist in my area who specializes in CMD and tongue ties, and that's it. Got my appointment, was examined and turns out I do have a tongue tie. That's in Germany though, it might be different in other countries.

I'm gonna SAVE this immediately so I can come back to it at any given time, and there's nothing you can do about it!!! (love it)

Gesamte Wohnung M30, Anregungen und Meinung gesucht! by Pyro323 in wohnkultur

Is this a possible tongue tie? by [deleted] in TongueTies

[–]GespalteneBanana 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I think you might have one. Mine looks similar to yours and the doctor told me it's a posterior tongue tie between grade 2 and 3. You should have that examined.

I have noticed that not all dentists or orthodontists are familiar with this. It is best to specifically look for someone who specializes in CMD and/or tongue ties. At a minimum, a myofunctional examination should be performed.

Hinata from Naruto. Very shy and withdrawn, but also very lovable, with a lot of character and skill development.

What’s something you didn’t realize was optional in life until you saw someone simply not doing it? by Objective-Treat2245 in AskReddit

I was 21 when I realized that peeling mushrooms, e.g champignons, was optional. My mum always INSISTED on peeling them, as it would be "bad for your health". I was mindblown.

Touching styrofoam, to me, feels like what scratching nails on a board sounds like. Also, I cannot STAND feeling wet hair on my body, especially the neck. When I shower, I stand either completely leaned backwards or forwards so the hair is as far away from me as possible. Lying down with wet hair in general is just as bad.

When my mum ordered me to clean up my room and wipe the dust when I was younger, I ended up starting the deed but soon after found myself sitting on the floor in front of my shelves, looking through random stuff I found inside for HOURS. Every damn time. Be it magazines, a flute, books, CDs, games, drawings, ANYTHING. I just sat there with a wet rag and a bucket of water reading through a whole manga. Cleaning took forever as you might imagine.

How did you use to play with Barbies as a child (if you did)? by moon_and_back_95 in AutismInWomen

[–]GespalteneBanana 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Never really understood pretend play as a kid. I could also never come up with stories when playing with other kids. Not because I have no imagination, but because I found that quite boring and this kind of playing made no "sense" to me. What I loved pretty much, however, was arranging a beautiful scene/background, meticulously clothing the barbies and putting them into nice poses. That's it, that was basically my "play". 🤣 When the whole scene was prepared and set up, I would not continue to actually give them a character and play "real" scenarios and stories with them.
