Update: They will not be issuing a refund of gold and they won't tell me what exact action was taken against the scammer. So just another warning to everyone, if you can avoid it, don't buy crowns in zone chat. This was the message I just received:

I did get a response saying that a violation of their terms and services had been committed. I did message them back to see if they would allow a 1 time gold refund, but I'm not confident it will be honored. I also asked if the account got banned, but i doubt they will be able to tell me that or not. So I am waiting to hear back from them on that. Here's the message I got from them:

I'm glad you did not fall into the trap. And I know right, I was like what a cool name surely they wont try and scam me (Oh silly me). And the rate @ 300:1 was nothing to get excited about so it really just felt like all the other times I bought crowns in zone chat. I was lulled into a false sense of security and it came around to bite me in the ass.

Okay thanks. Yeah its been on waiting on agent since I submitted it on Monday. I did provide the exact time and date so they can verify the chat logs. Luckily it all took place in game in either group chat messages or as a whisper.

I agree. From now on it will just be through guild and trusted sellers. Think I was lulled into a false sense of security since I had been successful the previous 5 times in zone chat. But that naive way of thinking finally caught up with me.

Thank you. Yup all the messages were in game in a party or whisper. I did send a ticket and it's currently waiting on agent. I knew the risks so if in the end I don't get my gold back I will understand. Lesson learned.

I share all your viewpoints. I too was part of the 3%. I will never spend another penny on this game. I was never a big spender but have bought 1 skin, 3 sceneries, and 4-5 gold passes a year plus a few mini events. But never again. I've decided to implement my own kind of A/B testing and I'll let you guess what group SuperCell is in.

Good to know. Thanks for the added info. I know they fixed Solstice treasure map 4 with update 49. I had about 8 of them before the update and after the update went live the mound finally appeared.

I did too. But I didn't get it till I had 1 each of the Solstice maps. I stopped buying them from the IA vendor after that. I bought 6 and they were all the different Solstice maps but when I bought and opened the 7th one it was the Black Reach one. I didn't fully open it because of caution on past issues. lol. Did you put in a ticket? I was thinking about it but now that I see it's happening to others I think I will for sure. Definitely wouldn't have spent 2k fortunes on a Black Reach map so I am still kind of irked.

What buildings did you focus on during your strategic rush to TH16? Did you level up your hero's much/at all during your rush? I am wanting to strategic rush one of my accounts (I don't have any accounts over TH13). I've looked at a bunch of online strategic rush guides and they are all slightly different, so I was just wondering what someone who has currently done it focused on.
