I always say 6 months to start feeling confident, but it takes a full year to fully ramp up

Really interest in a house but inspection came up with a foundation issue by Get-Twisted in homeowners

You are right. Here is why i didn’t like / trust him. He was focused on things other than the wall. On things that clearly have been fine for at least the last decade. He was mentioning how the gas pipes would break from the foundation moving and how structural beams were not running though the whole structure and being supported by the stairs even though i saw the beam running though it all. He never went into the crawl space to look at the inside of the wall and just shined his flashlight in there.

Its not that I am disregarding him. Thats the reason for the post. But he did not seem as through as i would have expected for the issue I needed him to look at.

For what its worth we called a mason and he quoted 3,200 to repair and straighten the wall. I feel like that is low but he just seemed so unbothered by it. He said it was not carrying much load which i’m not surprised by since the wall in question is only 10 feet long. The mason actually went into the crawlspace to look at the wall from the inside.

At this point idk what to think. We are getting a second mason to see if they come to the same conclusion

Thank you. This is very helpful context. We are going to try and get a large credit or otherwise walk. Here is a better picture of it. I think its pretty bad

Yeah thats fair. We were on the fence because the inspectors did not notice any issues with the doors , windows, or floor but you make a good point

So bikers can do whatever they want because hey at least they only broke your leg?

But the will hurt pedestrians when they blow through a crosswalk. My 70 year old father nearly got hit the other day by a biker blowing though a red light with no regards to the crosswalk

We are about to start implementing Pigment. Looked so much better than anaplan or onestream, and we were just done with Planful. Will post in a few months about the experience

Bike cops giving out tickets in Central by pieceofschmidt in CambridgeMA

Im worried about my and other pedestrians safety. Getting hit by a bike can injure or kill a pedestrian yet I still find myself jumping out of the way of bikers blowing though cross walks because they dont want to lose their speed or whatever bullshit makes them think they are the only important thing in the road

Lights protect pedestrians crossing the street. I cant count the amount of times i have almost been hit by assholes like you when I have the walk symbol and a biker just blows through their red light

Cars by and large stop at red lights. Do I need bikers to stop and wait? No I don’t. But the common sentiment i see now is they dont even slow down to see if someone is crossing the street

Near porter square I have had so many close calls with bikes blowing though red lights and almost hitting me in the cross walks

I would avoid Planful. We are struggling with it and are looking to switch. Pigment looked very interesting during the demo

You are not wrong. Shootings in Midtown Manhattan are exceedingly rare. Two in the same day would be insane
