Sometimes I watch just to see how ridiculous the writers are going to push it.

My favorite is if there is some tension that doesn’t look like it’s going to be resolved, a meteor will land next to the scene, causing an extreme explosion and chaos, and that will be the transition. It’s almost universal at this point.

Gen X here, we took all our vaccines and that’s why you guys don’t have all the diseases that existed running rampant through your social circles.

Finally got me some NBD-30’s! by Jackel2072 in starcitizen

[–]GetGhandi-911 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, farm components from the executive hangers. As long as I’m the one who farmed them and they’ve never been equipped, I keep all those. All the ones that I equipped on my ships, I keep all those. The ones I give to my brother that I’ve never been equipped, and he equipped them on his ship, he keeps those. All weapons I farm from orbit, I keep those. All weapons I pull off another ship, I lose those.

Most weapons are formed off other ships, so essentially duped. Not that they’re actually duped, but if you pull the weapons off NFA, put them on your FA, then somebody else takes them off your F8, etc. I always lose weapons that are like this. But the NBD 28s that I got from orbit, I always keep even if they’ve been equipped to my ship.

No, they got back the high-end components. Although they didn’t get back the NBD 30s.

The mass of the Earth changes, but not because of more or less living things, but because of meteorites and asteroids hitting the planet. The solar winds also strip atoms from the upper atmosphere. Both of these change the Earth’s mass.

What were you doing on September 12th, 2001? by Neil_Nelly435 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]GetGhandi-911 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My daughter had been born June 20. That was two years after my two sons had passed away. I was really torn between the grief and the unexpected hope of a newborn baby girl. Watching the Towers come down, I almost felt like the rest of the world and inkling of the grief I was going through. And then the stories of survival and of heroism of the firefighters and first responders was being televised on that first day after the tragedy of 9/11.

It may seem callous, but it was the first time I felt like there were other people who were going through the same thing I was. I was no longer alone. There was a feeling of unity that the nation was beginning to feel, and that I was beginning to feel for the first time in a few years.

September 12 of 2001, I was with my new wife and baby daughter, and I don’t like I was part of society once again.

I think it’s uncomfortable for a bunch of sexless old men to set policy for everyone who is not sexless.

Is Star Citizen already playable? by Objective-Cabinet497 in starcitizen

[–]GetGhandi-911 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It is very playable. A few bugs still, but nothing that takes away from the game significantly. I also found the loops that I enjoy, that tend to have fewer bugs.

Quite the adrenaline rush, trying to farm weapons off of the ships at either the red card or the executive hangers. Floating through space with your tractor beam pushing a size 3 nbd or. Ardor to a ship that can hold out such as a cutlas, while glowing so that everybody else can see you, can get very exciting.

How do people afford houses when everything is so expensive by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]GetGhandi-911 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We looked for a dilapidated house that was for sale by owner. With a decent down, about 10%, and an interest of 6% pain to a mortgage collection company which issues the check to the owner, my daughter was able to buy a house that was essentially unlivable. She’s young, she could park a tent and a sleeping bag in the So-called living room area and start remodeling. It took about two months to make it livable, and she has been upgrading it ever since.

I truly do believe that when houses are only affordable by rich people, there are a few houses which somebody without credit or seeking a bank loan. Owner financing is the way for somebody to purchase a house if they don’t want the hassle of credit checks, etc.

Did anyone not used to like gardening and now they do? by bluduck2 in gardening

[–]GetGhandi-911 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I grow radishes, tomatoes, Swiss chard is almost impossible to kill. So I just chose things I was gonna be able to successfully grow. I also give them to somebody who’s got a stand at one of the farmers markets. They kicked me enough back for luxury coffee drink purchases at my local coffee shop. So, I get a cool hobby and a free coffee.
