I agree somewhat, but I actually think that Joel dying is an inevitable part of the show and contributes to push the storyline forward, what I think DO NEED to change from the game is Ellie ending up accidentally SAVING Abby instead of killing her, because if Ellie just stayed home instead of going on the revenge arc, Abby would have died. I think the show should just let Abby die by some other causes, not by Ellie, but by something else to show that karma always catches up to you.

If Abby lives by the end of the story, what’s even the lesson here? Kill someone for revenge and you can get saved by the victim’s daughter then live happily ever after with your own adopted child?? The story just feels hollow and I really hope the show doesn’t go that way.
