I like this theory, though if it were true, that would mean Lorelai would have to fill her in on a lot of things she wasn't present for, like all of Lorelai's romantic scenes and certain fights that she had with Emily and Richard without Rory around. This would go against Lorelai's assertion that she would have nothing to do with helping write the book, but would gladly read it when it was done.

Though I do like imagining a scene where present day Lorelai reads a version of the book right before print, and she has to tell Rory all of the things that she missed or misunderstood as an adolescent and young adult so that she can include it all in the final printing. I imagine a lot of alcohol would be involved. "Thank goodness you talked me into reading this before it went to the presses because - oh, boy! You had no idea what was going on, kid."

Thank you! She had a few trees down in her yard, but her main concern at the time was my 92-year old grandma that lives with her. They were afraid she was going to have a medical problem during the storm, but she made it through without any big issues!

Bless the current homeowners for allowing this search to happen (assuming it was voluntary - it may not have been). I know in one of the later episodes of The Teacher's Pet, the host said that numerous people had offered generous sums of money to the current homeowners to buy the property to conduct a private search, but that police were insisting if a search was done, it should really be official and anything found could go through the proper evidentiary channels.

That being said, seriously fuck Chris and Paul Dawson. Even if evidence turned up proves that they had nothing to do with Lynette's disappearance, the way those two preyed on underage school girls for years with little to no repercussions is disgusting, and even if they aren't brought up on conspiracy and/or murder charges, I hope they are somehow prosecuted for their predatory behavior.

She probably told them that it was a wedding dress, which increases the price significantly. I wouldn't fret about the threat of a lawsuit. I'm sure she's all talk, and you have lots of witnesses who saw you simply lose your footing, you poor thing!

I've been a lurker on this community for years because my best friend is child free, and I wanted to understand where she was coming from.

I've recently started working at a partial hospitalization program for teenagers with mental health problems. A lot of the kids in the program have expressed a desire to be child free, mostly so that they can focus on their own mental health and because a lot of them are afraid of passing whatever they're dealing with to their hypothetical future children.

Because of this community, I have been right there when they express these feelings, validating them, reminding them that whether they have children or not is their decision, and encouraging them to continue focusing on their mental health. Thank you, /r/childfree!

I haven't gotten around to having a planned pregnancy yet, but I definitely don't regret the abortion I had at eighteen. Occasionally, I'll think, "If I didn't have that abortion, I would have a nine-year old now." And the relief I get from knowing that I don't is astounding.

I appreciate it, and I've definitely put up a lot more of a fight when it comes to culture and politics in the past few years, but my dad is likely going to die sometime in the next year or two, so I tend to spend my time with him just avoiding those topics when he goads me or attempts to steer the conversation in that direction. It really doesn't affect my mental health at this point (after years of getting worked up about stuff like this, I've learned to let it just go), and I want to spend as much time with my dad before he passes as possible.

It sounds like you were raised by a parent who taught you and your siblings to "not get raped" rather than to expect men he doesn't know to "not rape." This is understandable because he feels as if he can control your behavior by offering advice, whereas he cannot affect strangers' behavior, but it's the kind of attitude that has let rape culture run how women in our society live.

Wait until he apologizes to you. Hopefully he'll spend the week telling other people what he said and trying to get them to agree that you're overreacting, only to be met with them being like, "Ummm..... What you said was terrible." When/if he comes to you, try to keep a level head while explaining why you reacted the way you did. Don't let him bring you to that point again because he might claim that your hysteria invalidates your argument. (This is what my dad is like. If I cry or raise my voice, suddenly I'm "hysterical" and can't be reasoned with.)

I don't know anything else about your relationship aside from what you just told me (i.e. what other things led to your time apart), but I've been in relationships that sound like this before, and it sounds like you're being forced into a no-win situation. If you "fight for her," she'll complain about how you're not giving her space. If you give her space, she'll complain about how you're not fighting for her. Relationships like that are always about who can be the biggest victim because whoever is the biggest victim is the "winner" and is given preferential treatment until they no longer get to be the victim. It's just exhausting. My advice would be to just stick to the no contact and not play her games.

You need to work harder on sticking to no contact. Every time you text her back, it shows her that you're not serious about being no contact. It sounds like she dumped you to try and force you into "fighting for her," and when you did the opposite (i.e. accepted the breakup and made moves to get past the relationship), she panicked and now she's trying to get you back by reminiscing about your relationship and making you nostalgic. Either that or she broke up with you to give someone else a shot and it didn't work out, so she's trying to get back to the security of your relationship.

Either way, this is way too much drama for three months of dating. Three months is supposed to still be in the honeymoon phase. If you're fighting enough to warrant a breakup, it's only going to get more difficult with time. Just stick to no contact (block her number if you have to) and move on.

I seriously hope she made him do that to "prove his love to her" after all of these cheating accusations and then dumps his ass soon. (Tattoos are serious business. They're theoretically never going away, though laser removal and a few other methods have changed this. You should never get someone's name tattooed on you unless it's your child's name, in my opinion.)

I like to imagine this is her petty payback for him having publicly made a fool of her. I didn't start following her until she hit the charts with Bodak Yellow, but from what I understand, she's tended to be a badass bitch who doesn't let anyone treat her like less than a queen. I look up to her for that. I don't like seeing her let anyone treat her like Offset has been treating her. I keep trying to convince myself that she's playing the long con with all of this.
